I have found that I prefer to talk to people more about evaluating companies and education with facts and figures, however, I also find that many social networking people just like to talk about their opportunity, since there are so many people in opportunities nowadays! Maybe that's where "next" comes in! Always looking for the right mindset.....I'm wondering if any of you have the same experiences that I do? Do you find people who prefer to learn more than share, or vice versa?

I get what you are saying about the facts and figures statement, but from my experience, you can just get into the tit for tat game. By you just being a rockstar person who people gravitate towards....that will be the reason people join your opportunity and your team. Not because of all the fancy statistics about your company. Again, this is my opinion, but one that is based on experience. Thanks as always for sharing your thoughts!

True, but I guess I'm referring more about facts and figures of the industry, not so much of a particular opportunity......I get what you're saying otherwise. Thanks for your thoughts, too!

There are many networkers online....but there is only one of you. Food for thought.

I second this!! I have given a lot of thought recently on how I can be more 'Authentic' in the marketplace. There is only one of me (Thank God!) and I have a lot of value to share with the world as do you! This is my mindset.

hey Timothy,
I don't think there could ever be too many marketers online. There are so many products and niches to target that I don't think we even target enough niches. The thing is that most people who start online all rush to making money online etc so perhaps there are too many people aiming to make money from the same avenue. We need to spread out as marketers and exploit all the other ways to make money using the internet.

The internet is growing everyday, therefore as internet marketers we are getting more and more chances to make money online everyday!

As someone who enjoys Internet marketing as well as Network Marketing online I find this conversation very interesting.

First, I must say that there are not too many networkers online.
It is a huge world out there. Also it helps that most people who network market online, just like offline, don't use very effective methods. This is in addition to all those very annoying spammers.

I separate Internet Marketing from Network Marketing online because they are two different things.

Often the problem comes from people melding them together.

Network Marketing must be done in person. That is what it is all about. You go online for Network Marketing simply to locate more people to talk to. People who you have already prequalified through your online efforts. Who have stated that they want to have a conversation. So very refreshing if you have talked to generic home business leads or the friends and family route.

Internet marketing is used to market product and services - but not Network marketing. You can be a very successful Internet marketer and never talk to a soul. In fact, in that arena, that is my goal.

So there never will be too many network marketers online as long as they maintain the personal touch. The sincere desire to help others.

That is going to also be a function of the business you are building, and your skills. There is no absolute number of too many or too few. The 20/80 rule applies.

This is what I have found out about Network Marketers:

You have several types:

1 - The recreational network marketer, they have their business posted on maybe facebook or twitter but they are playing games and chit-chatting, most of the time they are not serious about their business or #2 they are just doing it offline, such in party-type network marketing and direct sales, which is primarily offline.

2 - The Part-time Network marketer, they are still working a full-time job to take care of their living and expenses. They are building offline or online and could be just starting to explore the online techniques. These are often those who also spam because they don't know anything about building online.

3 - The Spammer - he is just about making money and he doesn't really care if he makes a friend or not.

or

4 - The Serious Professional Marketer, that is very serious about his business, he is always looking for more techniques and strategies he believes in systems, and he builds a serious business, because he has a strong work ethic. He understands that it is about people and building relationships with them.

So our real job is to sort through these types and find our group of Serious Professional Marketers, (they can be fairly new) that have the attributes of #4, or #2 that just needs to find a good coach.
