Do any of my fellow better networkers have a solution to a problem I have encountered?
I am trying to dress up my icontact opt in form. As far as I can see there are no options for adding graphic design elements to the form within icontact.
The end result needs to be in HTML so I can add it to a WordPress blog.
Thanks for your help

I've used Icontact in the past, but I can't remember if they make the form's source code available to you. If they do, then you may have the option of editing the code to get the style you want.
Check to see if the html code snippet for the form is offered and then DM it to me and I'll take a look for you...Please send me the blog's url as well. Kerry

Re: Help with icontact opt in form
Roger,
After you create an iContact sign-up (opt-in) form, you'll be taken to a page where you are given the code to your form. There are actually two choices, automatic (which is just some JavaScript code) and manual, which is a regular HTML form. If you choose the manual form, you have total freedom to manipulate the code, as long as you don't change any of the options in the form and submit tags.
I hope that helps!

Re: Help with icontact opt in form
Thanks to Gabe and Kerry for their time and kind assistance
While wrestling with this bit of web development I came across a piece of free software.
http://kompozer.net/
This excellent little program allows the user to work in a graphic format and bounce between an edit, preview and source code pane.
The controls are fairly intuitive, and I created a nice looking WordPress opt in form in a couple of hours.
Komposer gives the option of starting with the original HTML code provided by icontact. This loaded the unadorned form, from this point it was a breeze to dress up the form with nice looking text and graphics.
So if you are in need of a custom widget this is a handy tool to have around.
Cheers to all
