Well, it depends upon why you are using it.

Some people use it to autoblogg successfully. I don't, but I hear it works well for that.

I mostly use it to convert my RSS mashups into a format that can be used by PingFm, which I wuse to sent it out to some of my niche social media sites. That process works well to get lots of backlinks to blog posts...

What are you going to use it for?

I use it and like it a lot, not sure there is much advantage to using the premium version. its a great way to distribute content, and you can time it and schedule things to go to facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc

Hi Joyce,

I love it! I've been using it for quite a while...still on the free version which totally suits my need. Before HootSuite I used Tweetdeck which basically does the same thing. What I didn't like about it was that I had to download the application to my computer. I wasn't too keen on that. But since HootSuite is an online app I don't have any problems.

I use Hootsuite everyday and love it! I schedule all of my tweets and fb posts for the day every morning.

I also use it to syndicate my blog to ping.fm which is the only work around I've found since all of the wordpress plugins for ping.fm no longer work. You just need to add your RSS feed to hootsuite, then add your ping.fm account and it will ask which feed to use.

Can't see myself ever needing to upgrade from the free account, though.

You can convert your RSS feeds into Twitter/Facebook posts using TwitterFeed.com, and while it doesn't have ping.fm, it DOES have Hellotxt which is very similar. I recommend the service. It's free and you forget about it once it's set up.

I use it, I love it. As with a lot of other sites, it has it quirky moments at times, but for the most part, it does what I need it to do. I use it to pre-schedule my posts to Facebook & Twitter and I am a free member.

Hey Lewis, yes I use twitterfeed also, but currently there are only 4 resources to link up in twitterfeed, hellotxt being one of the others. Hellotxt is nice because you can also link several accounts within it as well. So from your blog through twitterfeed to twitter, your facebook fan page and to hellotxt. From hellotxt to, say, bebo, jaiku and friendster and several more.

You really need to use all the free resources you can to auto-syndicate your blog to as many sites as possible.

I like HootSuite, as it lets me quickly manage several Twitter accounts, and create active streams to see who is tweeting about my targeted keywords.
