Up until quite recently near enough all of the articles that I was submitting to ezinearticles were accepted, but just recently I am getting them returned for the sillest of reasons (at least I think so),
is anybody else on here sharing similair experiences? regards Jim T.

I don't post on ezine anymore. But, I think they tighten up their approval of articles after Google changed their algorithm. They lost a lot of positions for keywords in Google after the change.

I haven't had any problems, but after several approved articles, my husband has gone back and forth with one of their editors over something really silly. It seems that what was fine with the prior articles wasn't acceptable with this particular editor. And it wasn't even the article itself that she was objecting to...it was his resource box. (apparently she doesn't like his website LOL)

wow well I haven't had any troubles recently but I will let you know it seems kind foolish for editors to not allow an article because they don't like the website. But what are you going to do right? lol. I think the editors or administrators should have clear cut guidelines of what they allow and stick to it!

Yes I am. Mostly for my poor grammar-) The raised their word count from 250 to 400. They obviously changed their interface and their rules. Got to love them though. They added allot on "cool" services like a Word Press plug-in and a press release. They are more "fussy" then they use to be. If you can stomach it. I think it is actually better than PPC.

Google slapped 'em so they are tightening their controls even more. They are still a good source for traffic and links. However, it is never a good idea to only rely on one marketing or SEO technique though. Myself, I don''t think it compares to PPC for traffic though.

Yeah I have been getting a few articles rejected for some simple things, like yesterday one came back because one of my sentences ended abruptly.. so they say. I didn't find any problems with my article but I just adjusted a few sentence to make them feel good and now waiting for it to be approved.

Re: Any problems with ezine articles?
I have been posting to Ezine for a couple of years with hardly any problems. Now, they have certainly got a lot more picky. I've never had an issue with article length as I can easily throw out a 500-700 word article but yesterday, I to had an article rejected on the grounds of the website it was pointing to! Apparently, it had too much advertising. Now, that particular site is a very small niche so it's hard to over do the advertising and it has only an Ebay ad and a couple of Amazon books (and a couple of small adsense ads).
Do we now have to build websites based on what Ezine thinks as well as Google? Can you not submit articles to Ezine unless your site has more than five decent articles (which is more than Google seems relevant), and do we have to take any ads off while we have articles in the submission process?
I guess all their new found pickiness is what is making article submissions take longer these days. Yes, they got slapped by Google, now I feel some of us are being slapped by Ezine. I've had enough and will stick with the other high ranking article directories.
Sorry for the rant!

Re: Any problems with ezine articles?
I have never had any issues at all with EzineArticles - I've actually found that I have MORE respect for them lately than I used to. They have an excellent and helpful blog as well that they update frequently with information that is especially useful for people who may be a bit new at article marketing.
For some reason, I have a silly crush on them... I just love them! (Honestly, I even went and made a YouTube video about the mug they sent me... LOL!)
Part of the reason I think I like them so much is that I'm now seeing actual PEOPLE behind the scenes, and they have been nothing but kind and helpful to me.

Yeah i've had a few articles rejected myself lately. I'm not exactly sure why. I fix them up, send them back and they're still being rejected. I've send some of them to other directories just to see what would happen and they've been published. If ezine are going to be silly people will go elsewhere.
