Re: Marketing Attraction
I found a product that I can truly get excited about. I have found my ' why' to do this business. Now I can see that other people are in the same situation as was I and are looking for a remedy. I can help them to achieve their goals to continue to live a healthy life.

For me it was not just Marketing, it was the idea that I could build an income that once it was in place would keep coming from what I did a year ago. Now of course it takes some time, but what doesn't that is worth something?

Re: Marketing Attraction
.
I was a chef in Seattle, broke my back and couldn't return to the professional kitchen life.
Being in a major tech hub and having an arts background it was a natural step to pick up web design as an alternate career - so I hit the books and taught myself some html, Dreamweaver and Photoshop while I was healing.
I moved back to Wyoming and got a job as a tech support agent for a local ISP.
Moved up the ranks quickly and found myself dealing with business clients.
I began to see a pretty large demand to create websites for these businesses.(early 2000 or so)
Asked my boss if it was cool if I took those calls and do freelance work - he agreed. (score)
About 2 months later I was forced to quit that job to keep up with the web client demand.
Over the next 2-3 years I worked exclusively with some high profile companies in the area.
What I found was there was a lot more than just owning a website, so I dove into "marketing" head first and devoured everything I could find on the subject. That lead me down the path of providing full service online marketing to my clients and eventually being involved in a startup of my own and applying those years of experience to my own company.
That was over 10 years ago and I haven't looked back.
I'm an artist first and foremost, with an aggressive entrepreneurial streak that has developed over the years. What keeps me involved in marketing at this point is the pure art of it. I enjoy figuring out problems in the tech side as Im a bit of a geek, so there's a level there that appeals to my green personality; but thats the part I would say I least like.

Re: Marketing Attraction
I came at marketing backwards I guess you could say. I wanted to have my own business with multiple streams of income. I needed to learn marketing and then realized it was mostly psychology. As I am a school psychologist I fell in love with marketing.

Re: Marketing Attraction
I always worked extra jobs while working my regular job. I wanted to make extra money along the way. The only thing that was making a lot of money was working any extra job that come along. I did that for several years and profitted by it.
Then I learned the term, 'work smarter, not harder.' I then started selling items to my friends to test the waters. Somebody else came along and made a better product and sold more items than I did.
I tried selling phone services. They went under when other phone companies bought them out and later cell phone industry exploded.
Someone suggested to me to try a product. I tried it and did not know what to do with it. I did not know how to market the product. I had no sales training and no upline support. I stayed with it for at least a year.
The next thing I did was to find something that I liked and could get really excited about. As my health changed I had to address my own health issues. I had to find something to help my doctor to help me to find a cure or remedy to address my health issues. Later, I found that other people were in the same situation as was I. That gave me my 'why' to help others to get healthy and stay healthy.
