I know there is going to be a lot of discussion about this.

There are a lot of people that say just do blogging an advertising. There are others that say you have to go meet people. Now there are all kinds of styles.

I have reviewed hundreds of blogs, where I can't even find the place to join it (not talking rss) I am talking like google connect or networked blogs. I have found twitter accounts where they are supposed to be in business but they lock their tweets. I have clicked on the facebook link and the only thing you go to is a like page, with a company name, and an imposing picture that is neither attractive or inviting.

Maybe I am wrong, but I don't want to like your page, until I have a chance to "like" you. I want to get to know you, and what you are about. In my opinion those things above are "closed" signs. Its saying you can like my page, but I am not going to let you in to see the real me, I won't do business with someone I have to dig to find.

Sometime people think that because is online, nobody see anyone, that means for them that not personal.

People buy you before buying your business. You must have a attractive FB or twitter web page that descript yourself, not your company.

So what are ways that you make sure you are "open for business?"

I noticed the same problem. I scowered the internet looking for blogs to interact on and for the most part all I found were closed interaction. I was looking for blogs where we could interact, share tips and information and create a group where we can support each other. What I really found is someone either looking to recruit me into their company or sell me something. I have found a few other networks like BN but for the most part it is a closed promotional tool online.
What I have been excited it about is a found a new company that actually gives the network marketer the tools to follow blog posts, has a presence on Facebook and actually is bringing integrity to the industry check my profile out on BN to learn more. Thanks for your post.....It is so true!

I never thought about "open for business" opportunity before.
I let people know what I do and invite them in to see for themselves. You have to be a friend on facebook to look at many profiles. In that profile it usually tells you what they do along with what they did before.
I have been connecting with retired workers and their activities and keeping up to date with family and friends. I let people know what I am doing now and invite them to join in and see for themselves the results of the products' benefits.
Going offline as well, the people I have contact with they are familiar with what I do. They can readily see the benefits in me the benefits of the products. Just letting people know what you are about and can help them as well is a little advertising that you are open for business, but without blatantly selling anything to anyone.
I am now going back and asking the people I have contact with to refer their friends to me to introduce them to a new product for them to try.
Open for business does mean getting the word out about yourself and how you can help others achieve their goals in life!

Thanks Tom, and you are right. We don't promote here. But we want to help others. Now I have to say though, may of the leaders do have a way you can contact and join their blog. Of course they still have a list building tool but thats expected. We all have those.

There are several ways on how to start an any kind of business first you need to create your own website where you can easily promote your sales and find more customers. It is also better if you create an effective business plan and strategy.

To be open for business is not just about having a website, but actually being available, if they send you an e-mail or they want to call you.
