So guys,
How everyone doing today?
I'm curious... what copywriting books and resources can i look at?
I'm putting a list together of the books that I'm buying this month and would like to have suggestions on this field.
Any suggestions?
If is possible list their names , author , rating and / or why you think is a great choice to have in a personal library
Thanks,
Francisco

Here are books/Authors to study:
1. Dan Kennedy
2. Yanik Silver
3. Gary Halbert-- theGaryHalbertLetter.com (free)
4. John Carlton
5. Gary Bencivenga-- BencivengaBullets.com (free), I think his seminar was about $5k. And if I remember correctly, I think someone mentioned Mike D. had some of his materials
Books: Scientific Advertising, Ad Magic by Brian Keith Voiles, Advertising Secrets Of The Written Word by Joe Sugarman, and Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples.
There are alot more. I will tell you this though, the more you study and the more your copy skills improve, the more "addicted" you'll become to learning/writing copy. So be careful...
B)
ps- I've checked out Ben Settle's blog. It's good info there as well. Also, study Mike D. Example- BBR re-launch.
I hope this helps...

Hey
The 3 main sites I read regularly are:
http://www.michelfortin.com
http://www.bensettle.com
http://www.copyblogger.com
And I'm sure you've heard Yanik Silver is one of the best out there, check his work out. I don't have his copywrite course, I will very soon, but I have his "Million Dollar Emails" - This is a fantastic ebook by the way.
Hope this helps you
Regards
Kiran

Re:Copywriting books , Resources
I'm finding my best copywriting tips coming from e-mails and newsletters. If you read through some of Mike's mails, that is some awesome copywriting right there. And you get it free, just for being on his list!
Too often, most people don't read their emails fully. But there are some great nuggets to be learned in there.

Francisco,
that first reply had some good recommendations. I would also suggest Joe Vitale's Hypnotic writing as another good one.

Raymond, I have to second your Breakthrough Advertising pick.
Everything you need to write blockbuster ads is in that book (right in chapter one, actually. And chapter 7 is pure gold).
Nothing else I've seen (yet, at least) gets as deep into the subject.
Only drawback is it takes most people several readings to absorb even 1/4 of the concepts.
So definitely not for the casual reader...
