Can You Do More?

Postby Jared Hathorn on Sat Jul 30, 2011 6:58 am

I was on one of my webinar trainings that my company did. The leader asked one question that hit home to me and I am sure hit home to so many others. The question he asked is can you do more for your business?

So many of us will always find an excuse to wait later to do something for the business. They will say I will be more active in facebook but I need to do something first. I call that procrastination and in my experience it leads to not doing anything at all. Once we get ourselves in the habit of procrastinating we end up doing that all the time. Finding excuses becomes much easier and we end up hurting our business and ultimately ourselves.

We must learn to push ourselves harder each day. Push ourselves to our limits and beyond if we are able. I have learned that no matter what company we are in and no matter how many so called secrets to success we have learned, we will not be successful unless we are active in our business and practicing what we are learning about success. So I ask as well can you do more for your business? I personally say I always can do more.

I agree, for most people that is a huge reason for failure. They don't take their business as serious as they take their job, or even their "play." For me, it is all about can I do less! I am totally addicted and am constantly thinking of new things I can do to build my business. Sometimes I wish I could just shut my mind off for a day. Although, the end result is well worth it!

There is always more that you can do for your business.
When you go out and talk to people, you do have one more skill to get used to in bringing in more customers.
Your communications skill in persuading people to join your business. Learn this skill with speed and timing will take time.

The only way to grow your business is to talk to people. If the game plan is to present your opportunity to one person a day, then you can up it to 2 a day. If you're at 3, you can up it to 5 a day. Don't go to bed at night until you have made the number of presentations you have set your goal for. Your business can't help but grow.

I think that when you start making it about you only then you procrastinate. If you truly believe in your company and product then it is just a matter of doing what Joyce said, set a goal and make it a priority to get it done. How you talk to people matters too, we all know that to present before you find out if there is an interest doesn't have a big success rate! Its all about getting in front of enough people that you can sift through and find the ones who will lock arms with you!

Lynda ... I have to politely disagree...

If you make it about you .... the exact opposite is true... it's about about YOU, and YOUR BUSINESS...
I think to many people are married to the hole great company great product thinga majig ...

These great companies and great products are nothing but "inventory" for YOUR BUSINESS...Your company is what you actually own "THE DISTRIBUTORSHIP" as you own nothing of the "Distributing COMPANY"

If you focus ON YOU and forget the company and the product for a second, and start focusing on HOW YOU will BUILD YOUR BUSINESS... then you are on the right path...

Fail to plan then you plan to fail procrastination is about the worst thing you can do in business and your everyday life. Make a plan and stick to it I think that's the only way to achieve your goal !

Man can I do more? OF course.. The value comes for me when I am consistently consistent. Not shooting my mouth off but just doing the work.
