It goes without saying I think (pardon the pun!), but 'Think & Grow Rich' really has had the most impact on my life thus far. It's the only book that I'm always reading. It sits next to my desk and I dip into it as & when. It might have been written at the beginning of the last Century, however it is so, so relevant today. What with the global economic issues that we're in the midst of. Hill was simply ahead of his time. You can't really call it a book, as it doesn't do it justice....it's his life's work. Can you imagine spending 25 years of your life working on a philosophy (with no pay!), when most of those around you told you that you must be crazy! Talk about belief!

I'd also recommend Eckhart Tolle's 'The Power of Now,' and 'A New Earth.' If you truly want to be challenged to look at Life in a whole new way. I listened to the audio version of The Power of Now, which in itself was enlightening....as Tolle's voice itself is captivating. I'm half way through A New earth (print version) at the moment, and can't put it down.
Only read them though, if you're ready to go beyond the mind & emotional egoic stuff, and really get into the true nature of 'being.'

Keep shining!

I see someone else mentioned it, but a new one I found that I agree with is "The Compound Effect" by Darren Hardy of Success Magazine. Good, old fashioned wisdom and advice we can all use.

I like The Worlds Greatest Salesman by Og Mandino. It is laid out in 10 scrolls that will take you 10 months to read it if you follow the correct way to read them. Many of the scrolls are affirmations and you read one scroll 3 times a day for 30 days before going to the next scroll.

At the moment I have read the book Go For No by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. It is very short you can read it in one setting really (74 pages). It is told in a story of a guy who hits his head and meets himself in the future. He has had a great career in sales, speaker, writer, and living the life he wanted to live. The rest of the story is him telling himself what he did to become successful. Basically going for no and failure.

It will change you perspective of the word no and failure. It may release you from procrastination if you are a perfectionist. The whole point of the book is go for failure, but have faith that personal and financial growth will come after each failure. Many view failure like this Failure <----Me-----> Success, but it is really like this Me---->Failure----->Success.

I see a lot of the ususal suspects on these replies and they are all pretty good, but has anyone taken a look at 'A Bug Free Mind'. Give that a go. It talks about how most people's minds are not ready to accept the teachings that self-help books and teachers offer. You can download the first five chapters for free as well.

I go through a LOT of "favorites!" I learn and apply from one book or another, and then keep on going - one book leads me to another.

I think for right now, my favorites wobble between "Science of Mind" by Ernest Holmes and "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy. I have been a student of this way of thinking for quite some time, and find the material exceptional and powerful.
My favorite tools are:
-Steve Shaw's Articles Marketing Service here: http://tinyurl.com/ydnudd5
- Market Samaurai Keyword Analysis Tool http://tiny.cc/zzeue (GREAT Training)

There's plenty out there, but at the minute i'm reading 'the magic of believing' by Claude Bristol. It's a great book certainly worth reading.

Hi! You all!

Beside the great books you all have suggested...I do know that what I am going to say is not what you are expecting to hear...but form the bottom of my heart is my own experience...

For this humble servant of all of you the greatest book on earth that is changing me like nothing has ever done it is THE BIBLE...it contains all you need to develop yourself to levels you have never dream off.

I said so after investing more than $30k in books...and programs...and courses...and systems.

Be well,

There are some great books out there to help with our own personal development. I have read a few of the ones mentioned in this thread, and they have help me come to the conclusion that my favourite personal development book is yet to be written, because it lies in my thoughts and experiences.

Believing in one self will take you further than all the books in the world.
