I visited your blog as well. Man! That sucker's beautiful! You made it by yourself? It looks like a professional made it. I bookmarked it so I can go back and read some more.

Doing great so far thanks to it! lol Getting better with blogging by the day since I'm learning a lot from it. That's great to hear! Thanks! Have a great weekend ahead! :D

I think having a bit more value on your blog is better than a domination of adds or promoting something, but I think it's okay to have them.

Many people use blogs as a monetizing tool. I see nothing wrong with it. But I will jump off a blog if there is no original content and a ton of adds.

So the value of content is what allows me to somewhat 'ignore' the marketing pitches or adds.

For anyone starting off, I suggest you refrain the 1st 2 blogs from using any promotion or adds. Let people see you are interested in 1st providing value to them with nothing else attached to it. Also, this is your first shot for many to prove your worth. Make this stand alone - Don't crowd this with adds or promotions. Set this relationship building repoire (1st 2 blogs) strong - make the foundation. I say 2 blogs because you can't really establish a relationship in just 1 blog post.

Then maybe the 3rd blog in, start with promoting something or adds.

Value is always the first most important ingredient. And yes, having ads is ok but not too many. Too many would be a distraction and we may lose visitors/readers this way. A blog is a place to connect with people on a more personal way. People look for originality and creativity. Best to stick to that.

Same here. lol as long as the value provided is amazing or really really good, I pretty much ignore everything else and focus on the content. After all, that's why we made a blog.

Thanks for your response Jaxi! I'm sure this will help a lot of people. :D

I have found that I must visit my blog often and look at it as a prospect might. The most important thing is the content, is it rich? Is it helpful to your target prospect? You will know when you get people who say something like " I saw your post on... and it was very helpful!" I am getting those comments as I have conversations with them. The offers on the sides should be complementary to what your content is.

That is an amazing answer Lynda! Most people tend to overlook that. We have to think and look at things like our prospects do. We need to get into their heads and see what they see and think what they think. Content is really important. What's more important is QUALITY content. You make a very good point here. Thank you very much for your response Lynda. Really helped me out and I'm sure a lot as well. :D
