You should not send them to your site until after they have signed up as a lead and you have called them and built a bit of a relationship with them.

Hey Taylor,

Welcome Aboard! There are many different ways to drive traffic to your site. As mentioned by others, blogs, video marketing and article writing are great ways to get free traffic. Email marketing is also another effective way. There are also paid advertising options as well. Make sure not to send directly to your site (also mentioned by others) but use a capture page first. Welcome to the interesting world of money-making!

My favorite source of traffic is article marketing. I write articles using keywords that are most-searched. (Tip: you can use Google Adwords: Keyword Tool to generate keywords) Submit them in article directories. And let the Google Search box do the rest of the work. The better the quality of your articles are, the more people you will bring to your site.

For a lot of people, the internet is a mystery. Traffic &
social media are both also a mystery. Let's stop and ask
the question:

WHERE DOES TRAFFIC COME FROM?

You can create traffic. You don't have to be subject to
any search engine rules. How is traffic created? Like, does
Facebook create traffic or do they use SEO? They actually
create new traffic. Because they've got people hanging
out, chit-chatting around the site and just creating traffic
from scratch.

Here is how traffic is created:
- When somebody shares something. People retweeting, FB
shares, word of mouth, etc.

- From searching: searching on google, yahoo,
Facebook.

- Following instructions. The step by step process

- From people being entertained. Think of how a movie is
launched versus getting traffic:

Hollywood comes out with some concept which they know
you and I are interested in, they do MARKET RESEARCH to
see what people want to watch, not just throw it out there.
Then we get the commercials and people start talking.

The news also creates traffic or buzz. The news sturs up
something, but it is short lived. News sites get a lot of
traffic. Conversations creates traffic.

Conversations - Articles - Videos = Traffic

People will always run into articles. This has been working
for 20 years.

Give people good, quality content up front...not with teasers. Fully give them what they need. This produces more than a one time commission, it produces loyalty. I agree that Video Marketing is the way to go to project that message.
