One of the most common mistakes people make is trying to work with too many people at once. In my opinion, you can probably only work with 5-6 people at a time and be effective. I recently read that in one of Don Failla's books too. It makes perfect sense.
If you are a sponsoring machine, you probably won't get much duplication, because you don't have time to help everyone you bring into the business. It's much wiser to sponsor less and focus on building depth. Just my two cents. What do you think?

I agree with you Chuck. I think that's why so many comp plans have the "3" number in mind. Bring in 3, work with them to bring in their 3 and once that's stabilized, go out and find another 3.
As a buffer you should have the 5 or 6 just in case something happens to one of your chosen 3.

2-3 and help them. Then help one who is doing the work so he or she works on one leg and you work in other, teaching how it's done to rest, and work as team.
So you set the example, show how it's done. I was popping in one leg and sometimes another to drag it down faster while the team was working with me.
Also, sometimes I sponsored 8 and got uplines to help, which helps.
You can go wide to soon and to wide but as time progressed, and got experience, I began later to choose wisely who to sponsor, which meant - they were go getters. Just a couple of training and they were doing it fast and smart, and skilled too. Mostly because many came from sales background, others were doctors, surgeons already in charge of hospital wards and knew how to develop teams of doctors and educate.
But yes. You can go wide too fast because my first round, was where I sponsored 15 in two weeks and it was difficult even with uplines. Lesson learnt the hard way back then.

Work with people who deserve your help not those who need it.

If you develop a large downline, they will all be on your list. If one asks a question, you can post it to all in your downline that question and your response for everybody to learn. The same question would not have to repeated too often.
As you work with the first ones, teach them to instruct others and so on.

Not so for every company. Every company has a system, a culture. For example, some companies, with uplines - you cannot email all the list. They mostly bank on hotel meetings, and sunday meetings etc. And their upline, upline will email others. Pain in the neck for most Network Marketers who in such a situation.
So not all Network Marketers can do this due to the policy of the company they are in.
Some companies have policies, that only the training must come from the MLM company. Even the presentation is tailiored by some companies.
It depends sometimes on what company one is in and most are very touchy about Attraction Marketing.
However, a Network Marketer always has a choice. To look at where they are at and ask themselves, if the company is not really benefiting them.
That's the problem. Network Marketers really do not own the company and some have to follow strict guidelines even online.

Re: How Many People Should You Work With?
Hi everyone,
this is a complex issue. If you have the right
company they will offer marketing videos
that will teach your new recruits how to set
up and get going.
They will also offer a set up option so everyone
can get going quicker.
They can also offer a follow up system to contact
your prospects.
There is also a weekly or fortnightly training
webinar
or a member forum for Q&A.
Then there are the others, who do you want to
connect with?
If you can learn=you can earn!

Re: How Many People Should You Work With?
That is a very good question Charles.
I can understand the obvious logic of it if the 'new member' in question is starting in your downline with an mlm company, but should the same procedure (working with them) still apply if they have purchased a membership with you from myleadsystempro or Jonathan Budd or something of that nature?
Would you still be responsible to educate that person into the finer points of using that program? if you have ever purchased something like that did anyone ever teach you how to use it properly?
regards Jim T

Re: How Many People Should You Work With?
Good question Jim.
I think we have an obligation to help and assist anyone we sponsor or sell an affiliate product/program too, if they ask us for help.
I just think it's best to only work with a few people at a time, since we have limited time.
The secret is to teach them right, so they can teach their group, etc.
