Team: Working together with upline/downline to attain success.
Rate your "team". Upline: 10 being the best, 1 not involved. Downline: 10 - involved, actively building. 1 - a name on a list but going nowhere.
HOW IMPORTANT IS IT TO HAVE A TEAM "Up and down" WHO WORK TOGETHER?
What's your experience? How can we change that? Or is it not important?

Hi Joyce,
For me the concept of a good network marketing structure is solid teamwork, I think this is so important as it creates a sense that the business is real and has a professional structure to it.
Speaking from experience it would seem that companies have switched onto the people who sit back, let their team do the work and cream off the glory, which can only be positive I feel.
As far as my upline is concerned I would consider 9 to be realistic as they are established team players. I'd rate my downline as a 5 and I would do this because as part of the learning process they are learning to work as part of their team and developing their own teams, so this is an evolving process.
The Community we have and the opportunities it presents newbies to be team players is fantastic because the feeling is everyone is given the opportunity to work as a team from day 1 and this really spurs people on and assists them with challenges they face.
I was once told a corny little cliche in my days of real estate selling, over the years it has been one of those little nuggets, that has remained with me!

Kind Regards,
Jayne

Hey Jayne. I LOVE your honesty ! If you would have rated your downline as a 9 or 10 I would have doubted you a bit because you are absolutely right: downlines need to learn how to work together, within the team, absorbing the culture while maintaining their own individuality and that takes time.
I've been involved in network marketing since 2005 and I have found that your upline DOES matter - big time. The validation that I chose the correct path came from Dale Calvert when he recommended (nay told) everyone to pick the right mentor and stick with him/her. Jumping from guru training to guru training (that was me) was doing nothing but spinning me in circles.
It's made a huge difference and I can rate my upline with a 9.5 out of 10.

Statistically speaking the success numbers in this industry are heartbreaking.

Hi James. That is true to an extent but do you think having a strong team above, beside and below you is important? Or not so much?

If your business is a matrix MLM deal then you'll have to personally sign up thousands of people to make any kind of real money. So in this regard YES it's important to build a strong team below you.
If your in a Top-Teir business like PRO U than your income in based primarily on your own efforts. Your team below will only account for a small portion of your income therefore a strong team is no so important.
In any case a strong leader above you is always great but usually not the case unless you go up many levels and then they have so many team members and less time that working with them one on one is almost impractical.
Personally I have a private Facebook Group where my team members can work cross line and all mastermind together. As they say "a rising tide raises all boats."
