If you were working with a partner who was holding onto past hurts and revenge, how would you mentor them?

Bitter hearts are the hardest hearts to cure. (I got this idea from a song by Soul Asylum). All you can do is influence your working partner with your positive outlook. The healing of past hurts and revenge should come naturally in time. Although this is not a good thing to work with that kind of person, give him a chance to change. If he doesn't, then both of you will have to move on, possibly towards different directions.

What Mario and Joe said about this topic struck a chord with me.

Revenge is very bad for you. It can turn you into a person you don't like.

Here are a couple of my favorite quotes on the subject

"Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; for it becomes your destiny." Upanishads

“When another person makes you suffer, it is because he suffers deeply within himself, and his suffering is spilling over. He does not need punishment; he needs help. That's the message he is sending.”

They say that a little competition is healthy as long as both parties agree to it. Anything less than that is not healthy for anyone. Competition is a part of business success. Revenge have no place in business nor in life. Revenge leads to greed, sabatoge, and a lot of other negative terms that would bring any honest person down to dishonor and disgrace. Share your experience with your team members so everyone would learn any new techniques where revenge would have no foothold on any opportunity.
There is a thin line between competition and revenge. It is well to know the difference between the two.

You are correct Derek. But the reality is that in the world of Network Marketing, we cross paths with many different people who have different backgrounds.

Some people do have these negative feelings like revenge and they hold onto past hurts.
If someone you were working with were struggling with these emotions, what would you recommend to help them "get over it"?

It depends on the type of revenge.

This is ridiculous. The law of karma catches up with everyone. So just be concerned with your own affairs. Good Day!
