How Much Is Too Much?

Postby Lynda Cromar on Fri Mar 02, 2012 12:06 pm

I used to be on dozens of Social Media sites, put out 2-5 pieces of content everyday and send e-mails at least once a day. But you have to come to a place where you realize quanitity doesn't equal quality. Its better to focus on a few very key things!

Now my focus is:

Blog 3-5 times weekly (use SEO Pressor to help with SEO)
Presence in 1-3 Social networks and participate in discussions
Personal contact with 10 or more every day

What is your focus, because focus is so very key!

Time management is key. I spend my time each day as follows:

25% create content
50% link building
25% followup

Since I build my business online, that works for me.

I have learned one very important lesson while doing a business.
Speak only when the person is ready to listen.
Listen when a person is ready to speak.
That alone have saved me a lot of time and energy and remembering what is important.

Some great advice here. I have 6 Daily Tasks which is a mixture of creating content, social media, forums, and networking with new people. Sometimes it is hard to get the mix right and spend the right amount of time on each.

I would say Alan, its always about tweaking and adjusting. It does at times change. Like for instance, I just recently added TribePro, now its going to be automatic after I get done setting it up, but it takes some time in the beginning.
