No a system is a tool whether online or off, there still has to be specific action steps that you take to build your business. In the end you are still responsible for your success a system doesn't create the success while you sit back and do nothing.

Lynda, you are exactly right.


Reminds of a shed I built a few years ago. It was a big one. I bought all the materials, roofing, plywood, lumber, nails, screws, you name I had it ready to go. After a couple weeks my wife (ex now) looked st me and said, "it isn't going to build itself". I had to remind her of my vacation the following week. But, she was right. Businesses like sheds won't build themselves.


You can give someone everything they need and if they don't take action nothing's going to happen. For those who are willing and ready to take action having the right system in place can make all the difference if they succeed or fail.

Give the right person the right tools without giving then unnecessary objectives and they can win in a very big way. The right tools, the right training, the right system, and the right mentors = the right opportunity for anyone.


Hey Willie, sounds like you still have some excitement in you for Watkins. You should go for it and keep a refuse to quit mentality. You'll go far I'm sure.

I think "systems" are great for filtering out the tire-kickers from the serious.
It's definitely not a tool to replace personal relationships.

I think that's been the biggest misconception with "systems".
They tend to push the idea that no work needs to be done.

Everyone still needs to learn how to sell, communicate, and give
value. Systems are a great crutch but definitely not a replacement!

I am avid fan of systems and leverage and that's why I love this business because of systems. Without systems, there is no leverage. But yeah still depends on the system. To me a system has 4 basic components such as:

1. lead capture page
2. email follow ups (autoresponders)
3. sales page
4. marketing training platform

But to answer the question "does your system build your business"... I would answer it yes and no. Yes because its working for me and no because systems/automation is just half the equation. The other half is to personally connect with your lead. For newbies, best way is to connect with their leads and build that relationship further.

Hi Sonny. What if your current system could take it a step further - right into and through your primary? Would that not be a system, unheard of, that would solve most if not all of current networkers problems. My mentor described it this way:
"A hybrid model that incorporates "old school" AND "new school" marketing & networking, steeped in a foundation of traditional business education with a system that gets people trained properly, is easy to use and empowers them to get started quickly - the right way, from day one. All in a process that can actually be duplicated by Jack the plumber to Jane the stay at home mom."

Wouldn't that be a system to beat all systems?

That is a great point Lynda...

E.g..System just enables you to get quality Leads through its capture pages ,,but are you following up with those leads through specific action steps/strategies to close them??..

Not all systems are created equally. Some are more than just capture pages. Some, when designed correctly can take your prospect thru to your primary business and even make the sale.
