A new restaurant opened in town a couple of weeks ago. Kids and I went for supper last night.

What did I see? (Besides playing "I spy" as we waited!)

The owner's immediate family, her sister and family, her aunt and family and a cousin had brought in his family. A couple of tables were full of close friends who'd also brought in their own families.

What if she was a typical network marketer and hadn't told her warm market that she'd opened a restaurant? Her income would have been cut in half and her warm market would have missed eating some great food !

Oh, what we can learn about business when we open our eyes and look around.

People in MLM are afraid to talk to their family for 2 reasons (1) they don't believe is what they are doing (If that is the case you need to find a company you can believe in) (2) MLM teaches a high pressure way to talk to your friends.

I use to hate warm market because I did not want my friends to feel pressured - that is until I looked at the way traditional business uses this tactic just like the restaurant they says to the friends I know you know a lot of people I just open a new restaurant can you check it.

My kids loved them when they were young.

Anyway, your post made me think of this goofy video I did many months ago...

What I have come to recognize is that a lot of the time people don't talk to their warm market because they don't know HOW TO comfortably

For many marketers in MLM, it is the belief factor or the lack there of, that keeps them from sharing it with their inner cirlce of influnce/family and friends.

Most lack beleif in their company and their companies product's.

I shared Pre Paid Legal with my inner circle, most did not get it, although I did sell a few memberships.

A fellow entrepreneur friend took a look at PPL and immediately signed up, then he went out and signed up 7 people.

Unfortunately we could not get any of them to do much, so they quit, he quit and I stopped promoting PPL, but I still have the membership.

In the example of the restaurant or any other type business, we surely would invite those close to us, and we'd get upset if they did not support us.

I have found, in sharing an MLM opportunity with family and friends, it can help if you have samples of the products to share with them.
