Hello Friends,

I have been puzzled with this subject matter for years. Here's the scenario: You may have a legitimate online business with an amazing product line. You know from personal experience that your products work quickly and effectively. You may even allow your family members and friends sample your product line, hearing a good report from them later. Traffic to your online site is rolling, click after click; however, you later discover that you have no sales.

What is missing? What is the best method of ensuring those clicks actually become sales, or is it even possible?

The key to sales is effective marketing. You can have the best product in the world, but if you do not give the person a good enough reason to purchase that product (without them being aware you are selling to them)...they won't. People love to buy, but they hate being sold to. Give them enough information about how the product will help them in their lives, and let them make the decision to buy it themselves.

A product sitting on a website is emotionless, your marketing strategy to sell that product to the prospective customer has to be achieved by convincing them that they MUST have it, without them knowing what you have just did. They need to think they have made the decision all on their own, without them even realizing they have just been sold that product through subtle marketing tactics. This is the hardest skill to learn and if you learn how to master this skill, you will never have to sell a product again...they will bite your hand off to get at it.

Antonio, did you ask for the sale?

I see many websites that never tell the visitor what to do.
In the jargon of direct sales: the call to action.

Does your site make it obvious how you buy your products? Is it easy?

Do you have the testimonials of people who have sampled your products on your site?

You also mentioned that the people you gave samples to raved about the product.
Did they then buy it?

Be careful giving away too many samples. People tend not to value things that are given away.

Give samples of Product X as a thank you gift for buying product Y.

My advice. Have someone else look at your site. Ask them if it encouraged them to purchase? Was it obvious how to purchase... etc...

My question would be, are you getting targeted traffic or generic traffic? Where is your traffic coming from?

Ok, that is two questions but they are both important. If you are using PPC to get traffic, are you bidding on

If you want sales conversion in web,you should use some web tools.Use live chat to start conversation with the vistors stay in your page,send emails to the people who may interested in your products,give them dicount via email. :geek:

I have found that sales happen over time after more than one visit, I get both sales and clicks from my content, but it takes time. It is important to know what they really want to know, and only when you have a very targeted lead that is looking right now does that sale happen. That is why I go for getting them to my list through a funded proposal rather than trying to always get the sale first.

Yeah Antionio, like others are saying, that really depends. There are a ton of variables to getting sales online.

Show us your stuff and we'll be able to help you out more. Tell us:

1.) Traffic source. Where's the traffic coming from? Crucial.

2.) Show the lead capture page. How congruent is the capture page to the ad copy you used to get people to this capture page. Also, tell us what % this capture page is converting for you at this time.

3.) Show us the sales page. Is it a high converting offer? Do you know if it's a high converting offer or not? This is very important. If you're going to be an affiliate online, you HAVE to pick a product (that you not only think is good, but) converts at a high rate. Your network marketing company on the back end is a different story. This should be something that you believe is the best thing since sliced bread. You'll be hammering it to your list, so the initial conversion isn't as important.

4.) Follow up sequence. Paste in an example email or two that you're sending out to your leads. These need to be good.

This is your sales funnel. Chances are, one or more of these pieces is not flowing together properly. We fix that and we fix your funnel.

I found one good way of converting clicks to sales is to go ahead and buy leads. With the leads you can then hire a company to promote to them. All the work is done for you. How many people can you call. Think about how many people a company of callers can do for you. A professional company can promote your products faster because this is all they do and they are all working for you.
I had my doubts about buying leads, but after looking at the stats of what a company can do it seems the only natural thing to do and hire a company to do all the work. Their results would be much better and faster. :idea:
