Hi Shannon,

You have asked for a very broad question to answers but I am glad you asked. I believe that each one of us has their own strategies towards success. It will be great if some of our folks here can share how they succeed in the things that they do. Personally, I hold unto my determination and patience whenever I want to succeed in one thing. These virtues are so hard to come by especially that we are in a fast phased lifestyle like any other person in the world. There are times when you can get easily exhausted in striving to achieve something most especially when things do not happen the way you want them to.

There are times when I just wanted to give up but I keep myself reminded of the fact that I will not be able to achieve anything if I quit even when I am just halfway to success. This mindset often helps me get through every problem that gets in the way while I am on my way towards achieving the success that I want. This is true whether I want to successfully lose weight or being successful in hosting a party for my in-laws.

There are many top tips that I follow in no particular order

1. I need do nothing - meaning there is nothing I have to do or need to do to be successful but only that I choose to do.
2. I only take inspired action. This is different from taking action because we are told we should or have to. I listen to that inner voice and if I FEEL inspired I take action.
3. I am fully responsible for the choices I make and for how I experience everything.
4. I am always working on my thoughts and how I feel.

That's just the beginning.

Appreciation from the Heart,

Richard De Haven

I don't feel like there are a lot of top tips.
Maybe opinions, but there are only a few things to
remember if you want to succeed at anything.

1) Get good at the basics, and never neglect them

2) Review the basics at least once per year

For network marketing

1) Have more quality conversations every day (double digits)

2) Learn how to sell, learn how to lead

3) Master your inner game - self-sabotage, emotional logic

4) Take massive action

I know that lots of people will say you need a
blog and attraction marketing and Facebook
strategies, etc.

The fact is, you just need someone to talk to.
Someone who is looking for a solution.

Whatever you do, don't waste all of your time
trying to learn all about this online stuff. Find
a way to talk to more people and stick to it.
It's really not as hard as it looks, but you may
have to go against prevailing attitudes.

The easiest, fastest and cheapest way to talk
to more people when you're first starting out is
to buy leads from a reputable source and call them.

Not only will you connect with people who have said
that they want information about making money from
home, but you'll get much better at communicating,
influencing and selling much faster than any other
way.

Besides, even if you do get a lead that you generated
on your own, you're gonna have to talk to them sooner
or later.

When that time comes, wouldn't you really rather know
what to say and how to say it?

Well, online marketing has worked best for me, taking time to learn how to set up a hosted WordPress blog, and then developing strategies. Because I work full-time, my blog works for me while I'm at work, Social Oomph works for me around the clock (people on the other side of the world get my pre-set tweets while I sleep)... Local search listings - I don't chase customers or distributors... they come to me and often sign up online under me or under my downline because our pages give easy actionable instructions on how to do it in seconds. Some of my distributors I've never met, but they just sign-up online and buy products at a discount because they become distributors (for the daily consumption model), which allows them to use the products at discount prices. I construct a page for each new distributor so others can find them online as they have found me or my downline and over time it becomes exponential. When you're with a company that has reached 5 Billion and has had long-term existence, people look for those products (their distributors may have dropped out). I had to take it online because I could not market in the manner suggested by my upline and I don't have time to do the belly to belly thing. That's when I found this site and all the wonderful information and people who I continue to learn from. It takes time, but in the long run, online positioning is worth it.

I agree with you 100% Luanne.
Online positioning is very important.
It'd be kinda crazy to ignore it.

I also feel that the fastest way for
the average person to make money
is through connections they already
have online and off.

The learning curve for online marketing
is daunting to say the least.

Your method of setting up websites for
your team is genius. That way your new
team members only have to direct their
prospects to the site, and don't have to
waste time and money learning how to
set up their site when they'd be much
better off finding customers and team
members.

Combine that with some training on how
to deal with new customers and team
members and you've got your winning
system.

Thanks, Dave. Even if my team members aren't directing prospects to their site online, they have been getting found by people looking for the products. Only since January, I started creating pages for my distributors (who typically sign up to get product discounts). These are placemarks pages (their addresses are geo-coded in my wordpress site) and they, with no effort or contact, are actually getting sign ups, due to local search. As distributors drop out, people search online, which I thought would happen.

It's cool that's working so well for you.

I buy lots of products from different
network marketing companies. I feel
that as networkers we should support
each other. Not only that, network
marketing companies typically have
much better products than can be
found at a store.

My goal is to someday be getting the
majority of the products and services
I need from other networkers.

Very interesting that you've identified
this niche and made it a part of your
business plan to attract and service
your company's "orphans".

That's a great goal. I also enjoy other network marketing companies and agree with your philosophy. Meanwhile, I do, and have for years, worked with a lot of orphans as well, to help them be successful. Ya gotta work with what you have. Interesting analogy. Much success to you!

My #1 Tip To Success...
Define Success For Yourself

What I've learned over the years more than anything else is that
each of us absolutely must define success in a tangible way unique
to our own dreams, goals, lifestyle needs, desires and results.

Failing to define success and exactly what that means to you personally,
what it looks like, feels like, smells like, all the details, not just some
esoteric puff of dreamy smoke, is a sure way to never achieve success...
you'll never know when you get there if you don't know what you're aiming for.

So my #1 Tip to Success is Define Success in DETAIL.

Define your own version...
Even if you think you want a version of success that someone else has achieved,
you need to put the details on paper, in ink, in your voice the way you would
describe it - bring it into your reality.

I wrote an article here on BN...
7 Steps to Start Your Home Business Like a Pro

Check out Step 6. Write Down Your Dream Lifestyle (Your Vision)

This is a step-by-step process to help you define the
tangible version of success that you want to achieve.

It will also bring a level of realization to your mind's eye that success
may not be so far off for you as you may think.

Enjoy!
