I am trying to get ideas on other forms of free marketing. Besides forums and facebook what other methods work well?

When looking at advertising look at what is most effective. The phone is the most effective form of FREE advertising you can pick up the phone call people and build relationships with them then after you have talked to them 5-8 times you have made a sale.

Sure forums, facebook, ect... they are free but they are also not the most effective use of your time. If you use the phone you should not need to work more than 6 hours you may decide to work more...

As you see I still use formum,ect... but the phone is the most productive use of my time.

Free Marketing Methods can work i'm more of a paid traffic guy.

Free methods just take to long to see real results but anyway
some traffic tactics are below.

Article Marketing
Video Marketing
Viral Marketing
Social Media
SEO
Press Releases
Classified Ads

I realize that all these marketing ideas are great and well worth their efforts.
But, I am off the chart in my marketing ideas.
I get out and mingle, network, socialize with people everywhere. I find out what they want. Enjoy their company. I can talk to people without trying to 'sell' them on anything.
If you out with your potential customers, friends, acquaintenances you are showing them that you are there with them and enjoying life. They can see that you are full of life and may inquire your secrets. Now that they ask, your salesmen skills comes up. You can introduce your website to begin their journey.
You can actually show people that they can be healthy and full of life just like you.

I agree with you 100% Chris.

The only reason the whole "don't make calls"
thing came about is because smart marketers
know that it's the last thing people want to do.

Same thing with "chasing friends and family."
Of cours you'll want to tell your friends and family
about your business. Naturally you'd want to
talk to the people you already have a relationship
with.

It's impossible to succeed as a professional network
marketer without phone skills. Why not practice
them?

Todd Falcone once told me that nobody he knows
that ever made 7 figures in network marketing
didn't use "old school" tactics. I find that an
important point.

Same thing with the idea that network marketing
isn't sales. I'll quote Todd Falcone again. He says
"Anyone who tells you that network marketing isn't
a sales business is LYING to you."

From my experience and advice from 7 figure earners,
the most effective ways to market are

1) Prospecting by phone
2) Paid advertising

3) Everything else

It's difficult to say social marketing, articles or videos.

If I post an article on Facebook, is that article
marketing or social? If I post a video on YouTube
or Facebook is that video marketing or social?

After prospecting by phone and paid advertising
I'd say the only 2 things you need at first are
articles and videos.

By posting them on different sites and doing
your link thing you'll build up traffic over time.

As far as building a team fast goes, speed is
just a question of money.

How fast do you wanna go?

NOTHING is free.

Even a clean-shaven face costs a beard.

It's all about getting the best ROI,
whether it's for your time or your money.

You can use forums in tandem with other strategies too..e.g..forum posts get indexed on search engines..so why not do some keyword research for your forum posts to get traffic from search engines??..

There's no such things as free marketing....all forms of marketing will cost something....even spamming which will cost you your reputation. The key is to find and utilize marketing that works and is effective for your goals.
