Many of us here are in MLM why did you pick the MLM company you are with? (Please share)

I began with browsing through the whole company section in Betternetworker, and filtered out the companies that could possibly interest me, and which are available in my country.
At the same time I did research the network marketing business model itself too.
Wanted to find answers to some crucial questions...

This took around 5 months. Then I decided.

What convinced me:
The products, the position of the company in the market, growth rate, unique thinking, great upline, and they've just officially opened my country.

I chose Advocare because it has a great and longtime track record, products work very well and are competitively priced with store products along with a very inexpensive signup and a straightforward pay structure. However the biggest thing is that its a perfect fit for me. My life's work is in fitness and exercise. I train people and I compete as a bodybuilder so it integrates perfectly into my main business.


Having Drew Brees as the Official Company Spokeman helps out..... :D

Most importantly, its always about your Passion and identifying a company that shares most if not all of it.

Thats exactly why I chose the company I did. But more over, when you make that kind of decision, it makes it that much easier to team up with a leader of your choice!

They call is sponsor shopping.

Much different than choosing a company just because it was the first company a friend told you about.

I have been involved in plenty of companies over the years of marketing business. Many of them just held my interest until the next big thing came along. If you had told me about a company, I would check it out and join it and do it for at least a year. By that time the next big thing would come along and I am off doing something else.
Somebody gave me a site to check out. I went to the site and bought into it. After getting the products, I did not know how to promote the products. I did what most people were doing, giving the products away to gain interest to buy for themselves. I did not know who to contact for the training or how to promote the products.
Now, the present. I met a lady who was looking for someone with a particular health issue. I was a good subject and joined right away. She trained me and we went to the different conventions in town for more training in the products. This time I was getting something that would help me personally and to improve my health. I have been with this company for over five years and I am still very impressed with the benefits of these products.

Mark Yarnell says you should find a company that you would feel confident in putting you mom into (assuming you like your mom).

You do not have that much confidence in what your MLM is doing they you should change companies. Look like everyone found that company (please keep on sharing)

Well, to be clear, I don't have any loyalty or passion as far as any company is concerned because there's a million companies. My loyalty and passion is to my associates and the customers that buy from me.

While I've been a top seller in every company I've been, I have no problems whatsoever dropping them like a bad habit....just as I did with Pre-Paid Legal Services. I'm in business to make money....not to make money for someone else.

To be honest with you....the majority of my wealth comes from direct sales from my fitness websites and not network marketing so I'm considering an exodus from it as I'm finding that these network marketing companies are more interested in recruiting people into the business than actually selling products.

I picked my MLM company because a friend of
mine who is a tech Jedi, network marketer and
a genuinely good guy told me to.

Seriously.

He said "Dave, just get into this thing. Try the
products and you'll be convinced they work. The
compensation plan will pay you, and it's set up
to encourage downline support."

So I signed up.

I started using the products and became convinced.
I went to the corporate headquarters and met the
people that run the company. I saw the production
line. I was impressed by the culture of the company.

On top of all that, my buddy told me about the
marketing system he was building. I'd heard about it
before, but a trip to Iraq (and other things) kept me
on the sidelines.

I had just gotten back from Iraq when he told me it
was ready. So I jumped.

There are also 2 other friends on my team. I've known
both of them for a couple of years and I know where
they are and what they're about.

So I've got products I can be passionate about because
of personal experience, a real team made up of my
friends who are experienced marketers and a highly
automated invitation system that qualifies prospects
before we even give them an opportunity to apply to
be on our team.

From my point of view it's the right company, the right
team and the right system. All coming together at the
right time.

It was an easy decision to make :)

What led me to switch to my current company first and foremost was the product. The biggest breakthrough in nutrition since James Lind, a surgeon in the British Royal Navy first proved scurvy could be treated with citrus fruits containing Vitamin C in 1753, and the results that follow

Frank Kern's State Of The Internet Address earlier in the year sums up nicely the importance of an exceptional product:
And here is an undeniable fact, when you have something that’s truly amazing and excellent to offer to your community, when you put that product in front of the right market at the right time in their lives then selling becomes easy and use of the latest gizmo technology or use of the latest Jiu Jitsu type of marketing becomes completely unnecessary.

So the definition of a magic bullet in this context that I’m talking to you right now is a product so exceptionally good, your customers have an experience, which is almost magical in their eyes. Agree 100% here, which is why my parents and some of my best mates are in the biz with me. My uncle called my out of the blue the other day, having looked through my product info from Facebook for a couple of hours and wanting to get on the product. Show if you have a good enough product that blasts the myth of chasing friend and family. He called me!!!

I initially learnt that the hard way that having the best product isn't enough, and to capture people's attention it's stories that sell. Like a series of lightning strikes in once place, commanding attention.

The one doctor finally breaking the code to raising your body's own master antioxidant you've never heard of with twice the published science of vitamin c. Steve Scott, direct response guru behind the Total Gym and more reaching out to his biggest competitors in the business to partner with him, Guthy & Renker, the titans in TV direct response doing $1.8 Billion annually. Evander Hollyfield, coming out of retirement at 47, rejuvenated from the product to win his 5th heavyweight boxing title.

Then the world renowned medicinal chemist who made the new fast acting cyanide poising antidote that met the US Department of Defense 3 minute requirement after the anthrax scares following 9/11. His tech takes it too a whole new level, and merges the companies.

(This next one is fantastic for us Aussies) Then Greg Norman, the former #1 golfer in the world for 6 years, and his business partners invest millions buying the retiring master distributors position. (Who after traveling the world for a year, getting bored and fending off lucrative offers decides the best option is still to start fresh at the company at a more low-key level! Unheard of!)

So another reason, I actually love doing the one minute curiosity teaser pitch that leaves people drooling for more ;) And the life changing results people see with the products.

New company, I one of first person in company.
Company have good future, this popluliar product! All people using!
What convinced me:
