Why Leads don't work!!!

I Have been a Network Marketer for 18 Years and have build teams of over 30,000 people and never once bought a lead.

The reason leads don't work is that the business we know as network marketing is actually relationship marketing. The name of the game in Relationship Marketing is not to personally recruit hundreds of people but to recruit a few and help them recruit a few. If your with a company that the only way to make money is to personally recruit, you are with the wrong company!!!
I built my biggest team of 37,000 dist by only recruiting a total of 12 personals.
I would love to teach you my system, and will start in my next post.

Darn it. Now I'm going to have to go and tell everyone in my downline that was once a cold lead that the methods my team member used didn't work.

Shucks.

I believe it's something about the approach he uses? Hmmm

Hey Pete,

We can't just make a blanket statement like "buying leads doesn't work" because it's not necessarily the leads that are the issue but rather the people who are buying them.

In order to get the most out of your leads you have to combine new age technology, ie internet marketing with old school network marketing practices, ie calling your leads and building relationships.

As Joyce stated in her comment ... it all depends on your approach.

You both are correct!!!!

I find it hard to make this a duplicatable approach to network marketing.
In my years as a networker and builder that many times this approach is so far out of peoples comfort zone that they become discouraged and don't focus on how this business is really built.
Every person that comes in your business is your lead generator.

Don't know, but in 2007 I was promoting Ameri Plan, and I went to their National convention.

All's I know is some of their biggest leaders in that company, many were completely new to the industry, but they were hungry for a better lfe.

They were told by their upline to buy leads and they did. Then they were told to cold call the leads and talk with them about AmerPlan.

A few of the newbies are now earning well into the 6 figures.

I rememeber one lady tell of how she and her family had to eat popcorn because they were so broke, yet she cold called leads nightly and ended up sponsoring another lady who almost overnight tripled her income. And, that lady she sponsored from a cold call, went on to be one of the top earner's in Ameriplan.

Cold calling lead may not be the bestest :lol: way to build a MLM business, but when you are hungry for something better you will try almost anything, and it's that attitude that will eventually cause you to win.

Agree with kevin here...combining internet marketing with old school marketing practices can work like gold if you know how to do it..

Heck,,you can generate quality leads through forum marketing , call them up , build relationships , add them in your FB group...More simpler , the better..

I understand what you mean - All leads are not all quality there are leads that you can buy and you have 100 people calling the same lead and other leads they don't remember who you are.

When it comes to MLM leads the best leads there are, are Dani Johnson leads. These lead probably will not asking for information but if you call and say you are calling in behalf of Dani Johnson they remember who she is and instantly have trust.

I don't but lead it is so easy to generate leads that I don't need to buy leads. I generate then through the interest but my best leads are from the Yellow Pages I pick up the phone and call people from the Yellow Pages I build trust with them by looking at what I can do to help them - no the stupid way most people try to help which is self serving look at the book "Thank You Economy".
