Forum Post content or Signature for quality leads??

Postby Adil Shamim on Tue May 08, 2012 1:23 pm

So we post our content here on forums from time to time..people read our posts , give feedback , add their 2 cents ..and we are building quality relationships..

If our post is of good quality in terms of being educational or motivational or adding value to readers , they will notice our signature link which follows in the end..They will click on the link and opt in to our capture page if they find it interesting or if they feel it can add to their knowledge and expertise..

Buy my question is ..what is MORE important on forums to generate quality leads and build our business??..Your post content or your signature??

In my view , Your Forum Signature should be 'in-sync' with your Forum Post Content for maximum squeeze page opt - ins or LEADS!..To add to this further , even your capture page content( part of your forum signature) should be ' in-sync' to your forum post for max opt ins....

So lets have your feedback..Post content or Signature for quality leads???

The floor is open..

Cheers,

Adil

If you content sucks no one will check out your sig file but if your sig file does not offer the right offer you will not get any leads either you need both.

How many leads per day do you generate from forums?

I think it is content. If i do not like the content I do not click the signature link. I don't think that the signature has to be congruent to the content, it does need to be congruent to the forum.

I would say both are important. If what you post doesn't add value they aren't going to click on your link. I have found that the best link to put on the forum is my blog, then they can opt in from there.

Both are important, but I agree that content is more essential.

Forum posts have two functions. If your main purpose is to direct leads to your site direct from forum, it's obvious that content matters the most. But if your focus more on increase backlinks to your site, content seems to not so important.

I believe that it's content that has the most influence. If you're not contributing meaningful responses to posts, people will see that. You can tell who is posting all over just to get noticed versus the people that are actually participating in discussions.

That is a very good point Marty,...

Agree with you 100% that signature needs to be congruent to the forum as well according to profile of people hanging out at a particular forum..

Thanks for pointing this out..

Yes Cheryl you can always tell and I agree with you that content is what actually leads people to check out the link ..
