I think your mentor is right Richard. Christ has been called the greatest networker ever known.
a.) he had posture (belief in what he was doing)
b.) he chastised those who were leading people astray (the Pharisees)
c.) he spoke the truth - always

Paul continued his message. "Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will pass it on to others".

My thoughts are how important your uplines are in setting the tone, the philosophy under which you work, believe in truth, honesty, humility, integrity and honour. Much like the company needs to be in order for you to thrive.

Even though i do agree with your mentor that that bible verse is great...I must add that for me there is one even more important because it embraces the essence of duplication...I know...I know there is people that says that people are not replicable... but systems are! Anyways the verse I prefer is this one:

1 Corinthians Chapter 11:1-2 (verses One and Two)...Paul went on to say: " Become imitators of me, even as I am of Christ. Now I commend YOU because in all things YOU have me in mind and YOU are holding fast the traditions just as I handed them on to YOU".



But I really do like your mentor's input.

I just had to put my 10 cents worth in here... This is in point form and I am not providing scripture for now but the info is in the book ...

* Christ started the most powerful movement to ever come onto the world scene by network marketing
* The church has continued to grow for centuries by network marketing not by mass marketing

One of the most dynamic leadership principles for building a network marketing business is found in the story of king David...
* When he was in the wilderness running from Saul there was a point where he had all of the "D" people come to him (in debt, in distress and discontented)
* These people would have been considered the lower class or looked down upon by society and for whatever reason their life wasn't working out
* David took these 600 D class men that came to him and turned them into the foundations of his mighty army and they became some of the mightiest warriors in the nation

To me, true MLM leadership is not just about attracting other leaders but taking people who don't appear to have anything going for them, and being able to mentor them into mighty MLM warriors.

There is a whole teaching on this subject and space forbids me to continue. but you get the idea. King David is my main MLM mentor. And when you have something in place that can help the most unlikely candidates and turn them into successful MLMers you have the recipe for explosive growth.

Absolutely, but also remember that we are fallen creatures, and that in no way could I imagine being even close to being able to do what Christ did... we can only do our best and be guided by him.

Absolutely, but also remember that we are fallen creatures, and that in no way could I imagine being even close to being able to do what Christ did... we can only do our best and be guided by him.

Another "Absolutely" because you are right on. We can't be perfect but we can't use that as a crutch, we got to try.

All kidding aside, right on and that's exactly what our Team United and actually Kenny Hodge on our team said in a training video just the other day, and he has an MBA and very successful track record in the industry for 13 years.

There are so may incredible sources to draw from.
The cool thing about universal truths is, they're just that... universal.
I happen to call my source God, but that doesnt mean you have to be a believer to benefit from the truth. Thats the cool thing about truth - it applies to and benefits without discrimination all those that seek it.

So back to the context of the original topic, isn't this the essence of network marketing?

We transfer what we've discovered, and share that knowledge to others in hopes of bettering their lives and empowering them to go forth and do the same for others.
