Good Youtube course or e-book needed

Postby Andrew Anderson on Wed Jul 18, 2012 9:19 pm

After wasting tons of time using safelists and other one shot advertising dealies I feel I have a decent enough squeeze page to start going after some real long term traffic methods. So I'm diving into YouTube, and its going pretty quick as I can see it. I've gotten 1 list signup and two program signups off of 4 videos. I got 4 views today (and any success for me seems great). However, I'm not looking for just a few views and a few signups. I'm in this for the long haul so I want BIG results. So I'm looking for a good course on Youtube and how its search and suggestions tools work so I can better tailor my videos. I'm guessing its very SEO like but I want a little more guidance. So if you know of any good courses or books (preferably free) please let me know. Thanks in advance, the Better Networker community has always helped me out when I need it so I have faith in you all.

Hi Andrew. I've recently got involved with a fantastic company that specialise in helping people to start an online business. It doesn't matter what the product is, the basic step by step strategies are the same, so I'm sure that this would really help you too. I'm just about to dip my toe into YouTube advertising strategies and I know for a fact that there is an extensive list of training on just this one strategy alone in our back office training library. Now it isn't free (but nothing really good ever is online!) So if you think you could look to invest in yourself and in getting big results in your business, then check out my link below. You won't regret it. There's even a free video training "bootcamp" to get you started.
Best wishes, Hayley McKeever

This is a Good Thread, with some Fantastic Contributions, Thanks to those that have.

YouTube is quite a Complex Network to Master, I know I have tried to, But doing this is very Time Consuming & The Videos posted on YT about mastering it, don't quite Cut the Mustard for me. The Only Decent Course I have Found & have been using it consistently Since 2008 (ish) is Traffic Formula 2.

For me it covers all the basis really well & will take you to a level that will make you more than Competent, Plus of Course, More People Will Relate to you Through Video Than Written Content. As Long As your Video Content is Good & There is No Better Course than To Teach you That ~ Than Traffic Formula 2

Andrew,

The number one thing you need to know if you start doing ANY paid YouTube advertising is understanding that Google owns YoutUbe.

You will market through Google "Adwords for Video".... make a mistake, and you will be banned for life.

The first and probably the most common mistake people make is masking and or redirecting their URL. This is the first thing you are taught to do when promoting anything yet it's not allowed when using Adwords.

You aren't even allowed to drive traffic to sites with any banners that will take people off the site. Your traffic all must land and stay on the promoted site.

Where most people fail, is driving traffic to a site they don't own. They get banned for doing so and your only recourse is making the site compliant. You don't own the site so you are stuck.

Learn exactly how to use Adwords before attempting to use YouTube paid video marketing.

Almost every professional marketer I know, me included, has been banned for life from using Adwords wrong, don't make the same mistake.

Hope that helps....

Bruce,

That is a Good answer and very true. The line Between Getting Banned and not on YT is Pretty Fine ( Content based obviously) but so true. YouTube has some Exact outlines, which it sends to you via an Email, that outlines what it looks for so as to help you.

That said it is one of the better Marketing Tools On The Internet, when Used Correctly
