Yes Joyce, of course it really is no surprise, if your business is kept a secret and not shared, consequently there will be no growth and you have no business.

Do you think Fear & lack of confidence prevents people from telling & sharing their businesses?

I used to get caught in the trap of fearing I didn't quite know enough to overcome objections, my advice is to just get on with building your business, the calls and talking to people if you build a good rapport, people will be quite forgiving if you have to find something out for them, they will be less forgiving if you try and blag.

Hi Jayne. Fear is the main factor. Fear of getting laughed at, fear of rejection, fear of other people's thoughts about us, etc.

And it shouldn't matter should it? We are on a journey to success, they are not, why should we fear other's opinions?

Hi Joyce,
Yes exactly that and with each and every one of us being ruled by one of two emotions at any one time whether it be Fear or Greed.
I think Fear of rejection if people were honest would fill most with dread initially.
A great little book I found with huge benefits to help with overcoming Fear in all aspects of Life is "Feel the Fear and do it anyway" by Susan Jefferson ( I believe is the author)

Exposure is branding yourself in the marketplace.
People will get to know you and the products you promote and represent.
Sticking with a real company that you can believe in through the hard times as well as the good times will sustain you with your customers.
A lot of people will come and go over the years. But in the end they will see that you are still there and representing a good product.
