Why do people end up not helping there downline? Why do they just sign people up and never talk to them again? I do have an article about that if you wish to read and it is at http://www.betternetworker.com/articles/view/helping-others. However, you can still discuss this without reading it.

Re: Helping Others
This can be for many different reasons. Maybe they are bad people or maybe they don't even know what they are doing themselves!

Re: Helping Others
I'm not sure why somebody wouldn't help somebody on their own team. Maybe they don't understand that by helping their team grow, they in turn can achieve their own dreams. Maybe they're still in the ME ME ME mentality.

Re: Helping Others
Good question. There are probably several answers to this and it really depends on the particular circumstance. Because time is a limited resource, many will choose the top producers in their downline and keep in contact with them and ignore the rest. For others it may just be a matter of they really don't know how to lead their downline. So many come into this industry without be guided to any training, so they remain clueless as to how to effectively lead their downline. Others may be stuck in the "it's all about me" phase, not quite getting it that if they help their downline they'll be helping themselves to succeed. And I'm sure their are other reasons too.

Re: Helping Others
Many have heard Zig Ziglar say that if we help enough people get what they want, we'll get what we want. Unfortunately, often we see "recruiters" rather than "sponsors" in this industry. Rather than looking at the big picture, building relationships, and helping their downline, they only focus on the immediate...that upfront check.
Now, another take on the question of helping downline is that sometimes people want their upline or sponsors to hand them everything on a silver platter. And our upline is NOT our babysitter. They do need to help but the downline has to be willing to be coachable and teachable. Don't expect your sponsor to spoonfeed you the information, instead, they should be able to point you in the right direction so you can learn what you need to know.
So, it can be a two-sided coin. Sometimes the upline is at fault, sometimes the downline is at fault. We all need to take a look at where we are and make sure we're not the problem.
Remember this, whether your upline is good or bad...it's all up to you to build your success.

I agree. This is what leads to success and the quicker people can figure this out the quicker they will succeed. I think the reason people don't help their downline is they just don't have an awareness of this stuff.
