Clarification re: Forum Rules

I can see how a thread focused on a specific piece of software or a program could be useful.

However, I think it crosses the line into adverttising. For example, what if I started a thread that read, "Can Wealth Masters International Make You A Millionaire?"--wouldn't that strike you as an attempt on my part to promote the business I represent?

I'm not an admin here so I'm asking the question, hoping Carl or his momma might clarify for us.

Perhaps owners of specific programs, software, tools, etc. could request a section on the board where they could respond to queries, although I think there would need to be a "no links"--maybe even in sig files--policy for such threads or sections. And owners would need to be open to responding to polite criticism as well.

All the Best,

Mark

P.S. I don't even know what Talk Fusion is so I'm not trying to bash or criticise your software in any way.

Hey Mark

I will have to agree. Talking about a specific company falls under advertising.

Talk fusion is a MLM Biz and big mamma should get this cleared up.
It's not cool.

This is the magnetic sponsoring community. Everyone should be allowed to ask help questions about the community or the industry.

Great question! Carl's on his lunch breatk so I'll fill in for him ;)

As the site expands, we'll have areas set aside for different purposes including a "Company News" and "Advertising" section where users can post anything they'd like.

Forum posts can be a grey area that will be handled on a case-by-case basis where the primary question well ask is "is this information genuine and useful to other members, or was it posted in self-interest for monetary gain and personal promotion?"

That's pretty much it. This site is first and foremost a master mind group and training forum. :)

Hi All

I appoligise if what I did was inappropriate. I just figured if anyone had any question or comments they could post. If I or anyone could answer their question or learn from their comments, it would be for the good of all.

Mike if it was inappropriate let me know. It won't happen again.

So, does that mean that I can't start a forum on health issues, like what I posted? "Traditional Medicine vs. Ayerveda"?

Hi,

Didn't I read in 'Carl's' rules that we can start a company specific forum for master-minding/brainstorming with networkers specific to one's particular company?

Sorry,

Let me clarify this a bit as Cherie has just made me think of it. Rather than a broad category such as 'Health Issues', if I belong to company XYZ can I start a forum entitled 'XYZ networkers forum'?

Thanks,

Michele

No worries Mike! Why don't you start a Thread just for Talk Fusion reps where you can discuss updates and marketing ideas. Name it "Talk Fusion News". I also encourage everyone else to start a thread specificially for their company if they desire. If a thread has already been created for your company, please do not start a second.

I like how quickly folks chimed in with questions and ideas and how fast Mike proposed what I think is a neat solution. This is what forums should be about!

I look forward to learning more about Talk Fusion and other opportunities and products I'm not (yet) familiar with.

All the Best,

Mark
