I had a question regarding the autoresponder...
In the course, it talks about "followup" and having the autoresponder take care of the "value" emails to be sent to prospects daily.. for 10 days.. then it goes to every other day. I was curious... WHAT is the limit on it. For example, I have received "duplicates" of Mike's emails (same for other "masters" I subscribed too)... Now, not to take away the value... but I assume there are occassional new emails added to the series.. but is there a general "rule of thumb" of how many should be setup in the autoresponder?
Also, I am doing a BLOG and updating it regularly, so I wonder if "duplicate" content from the email and blog would be lessening the value... or if perhaps.. maybe sending out an email with a "snippet" of the blog and a link to the blog directly rather than parroting the same info again in an email. Of course the time savvy prospect would RSS the feed anyways =)
Thanks all.
Peter

Re: Autoresponder
Good question but first I have a question: Which "course" are you talking about? Is this one of the Magnetic Sponsoring courses or is this another one that you have purchased?
Definitely want to help but a little more information would be helpful....
Thanks,

Re: Autoresponder
Sorry, it was a Mike Dillard course.. but I think it MAY have been mentioned in Black Belt Recruiting (i.e. the specifics of the "every day for 10 days then every other day, etc"), but the principal ties in with the basic MS system. I just didn't know how many "emails" to load into the autoresponder as I'm approaching that hopefully soon and want to have enough "value" ready.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Autoresponder
I personally only do 10 or so but I always send at least 1 realtime "update" email out evey week. I use a reference to a date, event or holiday so they know it is not an autoresponder.
Also, I think it is vital to have one in there that simply asks if they have questions....
Hello,
Over the last couple weeks I have sent you quite a few newsletters to get you off to a fast start on building a solid residual income by learning how to sponsor upto 20 new rep's or distributors into your business every month.
If you have any questions or would like for me to elaborate further on any of the tips I have sent you, please reply to this email or better yet, give me a call at xxxxxxxxx.
I look forward to hearing from you,

Re: Autoresponder
Hey Peter.
Ten is a good round number because you can break your "pre-selling" messages up without giving away the whole 'steak' before you sell the sizzle first. Sounds cheezy, I know but...
Basically your series is tied to the topic that the list was interested in getting more info about. Find some good key areas to focus on and create messages about how your product/ opportunity/ system is the answer.
A good way to go about finding stuff to write about is to have a questionnaire box on your capture page and find out what your list wants you to "sell" them. You get a ton of great real life ideas to tie into whatever it is your promoting.
Write a compelling subject line to make sure it gets read. Start off with a simple greeting. Write a line or two that basically tells people to click a link to your sales page or whatever to get more info on how they can achieve the the thing that was mentioned in your subject line.
After you put the link up towards the top, continue with your message. Just make sure it relates to the subject line.
Then at the bottom, write a compelling P.S. to ensure that the reader feels that they absolutely must read that email and/or click the link.
The best part is that these messages can be tested to different parts of the list to see which subject lines work the best and so forth. Keep tweaking your original 10 messages until you have a satisfactory response rate.
Remember that these messages will be sent from the beginning message for weeks, months, etc with their original purpose, but you can always send out a "blast" in real-time to the entire list whenever you have something new and exciting that they absolutely must know about.
Hope this helps

Re: Autoresponder
Does anyone use an autoresponder to communicate with the leads they generate by marketing MS and the other great Mike Dillard courses? Obviously, calling the leads is the best first step, but an autoresponder keeps that communication going long term. Also, if a prospect types in a bad phone number on the capture page, you have no way to contact him/her.
Who utilizes an autoresponder for MS leads and which one? If you are using one, how do you export the leads to the autoresponder?
Thanks to everyone.

Re: Autoresponder
Yes, I absolutely use one, Aweber, and set it up like a Newsletter as explained in Magnetic Sponsoring. However, I haven't had time to set up the Newsletter template or the automated transfering so I am doing it manually at this point.
I explain exactly how I do all of this on the website listed in my signature line. I hope it helps you.

Re: Autoresponder
Cory,
What I've had work for me is getting people to opt-in to my autoresponder via a personally branded website that markets myself.
When they get to my thank you page I offer them "7 Free Videos That Are Essential To Growing Your Business Online" with a link to my MS boot camp page.
I like doing it this way because it shows my new prospect that I'm tied in with knowledgeable people and if in the case they don't buy MS I can still maintain my relationship with them.
Besides, Mike Dillard's follow-up process does a heck of a job of keeping ms in front of people, so I can just focus on being me
Now if you have MS prospects that you'd like to ad to a follow-up campaign. It might be good to call them, get to know them a bit and let them know you're gonna go ahead and plug them into your training.
Who could say no?
