Hi everybody,
Ok, this has been a mystery to me for way too long! I really hope someone can help. I seem to have been on every possible site on the net that mention RSS Feeds but not one of them answers my question. I have a few audios on my website that I want to publish on iTunes (and here actually). iTunes asks for the RSS feed url... anybody can tell me how I can find that? All I have is the url address of each audio file. I have tried that and it doesn't work, obviously, as it is not a RSS feed. Now, what is a RSS feed and more importantly, how do I find the one that is attached to my audio file so that I can submit it to iTunes?
Thanks!!

I think feedburnerhttp://www.feedburner.com would be a good place to start. You must have feeds set up for your site I recommend using word press http://www.wordpress.orgfor rss publishing.

Re: RSS Feed (for podcast)
If the feedlink you are looking for is the same as your blog and you don't have that information saved anywhere, you can simply "pretend" that you want to subscribe to your RSS feed and copy the link from the address bar of your browser.
I implement professional blogs for myself and for my website clients. I've recently learned that there is something that media sites request called an API URL which is different from the number Wordpress assigns as your Askimet key. (Why in the world they use the same acronym is beyond me!) This is what media sites, like YouTube, ask for.
The endpoint reference for that is: http://yourblog.com/blog/xmlrpc.php.
I'm thinking that this is what you are really looking for, based on the content of your question. The url endpoint string is dependent on how you have installed your blog on your domain, by the way. To further explain this, you may not have a "/blog/" directory on your hosting account.
Hope this helps!

Re: RSS Feed (for podcast)
Thanks Marj,
I actually followed your advice and "pretended" I wanted to subscribe and Itunes did recognize the feed url this time. However, it is now telling me that this feed has no episodes... I am not sure what that means.
I am starting to think that what I am trying to do it just not possible. All I wanted was to basically put my audio files on Itunes.
thanks for your help anyway. I have definitely moved forward!
Take care

Re: RSS Feed (for podcast)
The easiest way to get an RSS feed (and podcast) is to use Wordpress. You make a post in wordpress, point it at your audio file, and Wordpress creates (and updates) the RSS feed. Wordpress is free, and you can use hosting like Host Gator or Cooler Websites that allows you to install it in about 5 clicks (I've got videos that show you all of this at the School of Podcasting). You can create a podcast that will reach the world for about 11 bucks a month. Best money spent on marketing in my opinion.
