christryon wrote:Nice to see you here, Melanie. I believe the number one reason some people fail, is the company they are involved with does not have a system in place that is to duplicate. Also, some programs simply cost too much to be involved with or to advertise. (I am referring in part to direct mail advertising.)

Christryon and Melanie I could not agree more with the two of you.

Duplication is the key to become successful in any business, whether it's Network Marketing or Franchises.

If a Franchise has a poor system in place they will fail just as fast as other companies. You can tell which franchises have superb systems in place for duplication, just to name a few "McDonalds", "Subway", "Taco Bell", etc.

The original post by Jason is spot on right!

You said, "they stop investing in themselves!" and that is exactly why people fail, they quit! They just stop, they just lose incentive to keep pushing on, they get discouraged.

We should always be thinking about investing in ourselves as well as thinking of this as a benefit of our efforts. Not all benefits have to be $$$ :|

Successful People do things 25% faster than the rest of the population.
Walk faster, talk faster, think faster. This is because they know that time is money. And in Direct selling it is even more important to do things fast. Just think to yourself ok I am not limited by any numbers here. The more people I talk to the more money I can get flowing to me. So if your afraid to talk to people you better learn how and learn how quick because otherwise your pockets will be empty. Go to the mall. Meet some new people and DO NOT try to sell people on anything. Let them sell themselves on it.
Thats all for now I think.

Why be afraid of failure?

What is the fastest way to succeed?

FAIL FASTER.

Every time you fail you learn from your failures. Look at athletes. Look at Tiger Woods. These athletes don't succeed immediately. Why do we feel like in business we should succeed immediately?

Angel investors and venture capital funds typically will NOT invest in someone who has never started a business before. In fact you might have a better chance of getting investment if you have started a business that failed! Why? Because they expect that you learned a lot from that failure and will be able to bring all that knowledge of "what not to do" into your new venture.

Great point "benfitts". There are lots of reasons people fail. And, each persons' #1 reason is different.

But, the #1 reason people succeed is by learning from their failures!
Learn the secret that only 5% of people use...and why those 5% make 10 times more income!

I started an MLM a few months ago and the only reason I'm still in it is because I use the product and it works. However, I would love to generate some additional income now because I'm in position to see the benefits to do so through my research in network marketing. I'm also looking to retire soon so what better way to go out then to build the business I'm with now: Isagenix. My upline had told me several times, I need to talk to my family, friends, coworkers and people I have an opportunity to make contact with in passing. I new there had to be another way to go about building my business. So I set up a few social sites like twitter and started seeing greater potential as I started running into sites and videos speaking about marketing on the web. So my upline called me up to ask me what I was doing and without asking for a minute of my time started the same old spill about how to get people. I asked him what he thought about utilizing the internet to generate leads. I ran some some of the ideas I had to him and the first thing he said was, " how about we do a three way on the phone." He new another member who has been into networking for over twenty years. When I told this other big money maker he told me, "well, if you go that way, you will have to do this and so on," and then, he repeated what my upline said, as if telling my family and friends was a better option than generating leads on the web. Am I being set up to fail? Are they generating leads from the internet the same way I am seeking to do?

Theres many factors why people don't succeed in this business.

Its very hard to say whats the number one reason.

I will name a few

1)Wrong Mindset
2)Not educated
3)Lazy
4)No patience
5)Lack of targeted leads
6)Opportunity jumpers (Jump from program to program)

Thats just some of the many.

thanks
