While I agree that this can be well intentioned, this is either a product of poor training or good training not applied. Often people who offer this helping hand know nothing about you. They are just acting out of ignorance, and they are not a leader if they are contacting you this way.

People can pitch an information product just as easily as a business. A funded proposal is just a tool and can be misused. Relationships come first, funded proposal or not.

As another said all you can do is do your best to establish a relationship and plug them into good training such as that offered by Mike Dillard, Tim sales, etc...

You can take the time to put a hand out but as with anyone you contact , do not wait for these people, you should have enough prospects in your pipeline where their participation in following you as a leader does not effect you.

I agree with your observations- the helping angle comes from their desire to position themselves as a servant rather than a salesperson getting your sale. It's the attraction marketing angle taught here at BN with one fatal flaw-as you stated- they don't interest in you first. I try to carry that servant heart and try not to assume too much. I'd appreciate your feedback on my videos on BN and let me know if I'm doing the same thing you're talking about. I hope noe, but I don't know until people ike you give me feedback

Thanks
Bill

This is a GREAT community, rich with ideas and content! :)

There is a time to ask for help, yes, but I, too, get annoyed at people telling me that they can help. Don't get me wrong I think you can learn something from everyone. However, I don't have time! The truth is my first reaction is to say the same thing... "Let me know if I can help." I love lending a helping hand and it is a sincere offer. But after giving it some thought I don't want anyone to waste my time and I really don't want to get the reputation of wasting your time.

There is sooooo much information to sift through today it's overwhelming. I'm only seeking the help of those that I'm magnetically attracted to.

Hi David and everyone else, when you think about it this is rather a strange post really.
The subject line is 'Do I need help?' and then an appeal (in the nicest possible way) for comments (help) with the topic?
It seems a bit like saying to someone 'can I ask you a question?' when of course you already have? Maybe a better answer might be "thats awfully nice of you, could you send me some money please, that would really help........ or did you really want me to help you?".... regards Nemo.
