I would first like to say hello and welcome to the Better Networker community. I thought that this would be a great topic to bring up for the newer members and possibly even for some of those who have been here for a while but are not getting the results that they were hoping for.
The question or topic that I would like to bring up is "why do people join Better Networker and stop using it after a few months (2-4)?" My personal response to this would be that they are under the impression that all they have to do is create a profile and post their opportunity and products on the website. Then people will see and want to join their opportunity or buy their products. After a few months of waiting they decide that the site does not work and then they stop using it.
I would love to hear about any personal experiences that may be helpful or beneficial to the other members.
My goal in bringing up this topic is to expand the knowledge of those who do not understand how to use the Better Networker website and to teach them the proper way of using the site through the teachings of others.
Best wishes to you all,

Great topic. I think you are right about why some people leave after joining. They probably don't last long in their business also. You get what you give. If you but in an effort to meet people, and provide information you will probably experience a good following. Some people join and read all the articles and learn quite a bit about network marketing. But if you just join and then stop back once a month or two , you probably would be better to not join. If you read an article you should comment on it. What did it say to you. Network Marketing and social sites like this one require the interaction. Mingle, meet people, and share your knowledge as well as learn.

Good points Alfonzo. I am relatively new here myself - just over month or so...I think getting close to 2.
I am still learning my way around, with the support and suggestions of my coach. Before getting involved with Mentoring for Free I certainly tried a LOT of different things, sites and tools. I just felt that if I just continued to take on everything that came my way....something would eventually work, or payoff. It did not. I think we come onboard expecting results to be quite quick & easy. There is a lot of hype around suggesting that.
I cant believe how quickly the time flies.....I must be having fun.
Anyway - we will not be hearing from the 'dearly departed'...they are gone on to the next thing.
Maybe we need to explore what keeps us here....or at least blog about it when we are thinking of moving on.
Anyway Im enjoying the little faces tonight.

This is excellent information and thank you for the responses. I hope to see a lot more from others in the future. Luckily I personally was saved from spending many more years of my life being frustrated and broke by joining the Mentoring For Free Team. Through the training (still to this day) and hard work I have finally seen a dramatic change in my growth and networking skills. I just hope that I can help save the others from that terrible fate of failing before it is too late.
Best wishes to you all,

I am sorry to hear about this. I am glad that you are sharing this information with all of us, because this is all about learning. I think it's kind of messed up in the fact that they will not give you your status back. I do not see anything about this in your response, but did you ever get a chance to talk to support about this matter?
Best wishes to you,

Maybe BN dropped you because you were spamming the members Tom? And btw, you appear to still have me on your 'list' despite the fact I never joined it, and despite me telling you not to send me any more messages, and despite you telling me you would sort it out.
As to why some people join and leave BN - probably for the same reason as they join and leave everything else. Maybe they don't get the 'instant' results they were looking for. Maybe it's not the sort of forum they were looking for. Maybe they don't like the setup.
Whatever their reasons, those who do stick with it, tend to find it pretty addictive. And the nuggets of information here on BN that you will never find anywhere else make it a perfect place for newbies to learn.

It seems to me a few folks here were rather po'd about certain ways of being approached. Just Take iT one day at a Time.
Better Networker is a great place to meet some really awesome people. Friends first.

Re: Why People Would Join and then Leave Better Networker
perhaps they needed to get some work done instead of spend their entire existence on BN. fear of rejection has killed more careers in this industry than anything else I've ever seen. too many people are making an attempt to make themselves look important to others in hope they will be followed like lemmings falling over a cliff.
since when did a lot of people here on BN jump into their time machine and go backward in time by 20 years?
I've never seen so much BMW'ing going on as here on BN. quick lesson: grow up, get out side in the fresh air and sunshine, and become the best leader you can become to your peers.

Re: Why People Would Join and then Leave Better Networker
I joined a couple months ago. Set up a profile and just left. I was frustrated because I couldn't figure anything out. I'm still unsure of how things work but I'm back. I'm attempting to build a presence on the web for my business and it gets time consuming as I work a full time job, sitting in front of a computer all day, then to go home and try to maintain all the social networking sites. It's exhausting...BUT...I'm committed because one day I hope to not have to clock in for anyone but myself.
