Alright...my first topic...but something just happened to me today I almost blew up (just kidding I am fine!)...

Here is what happened today with a lady I have known for about three years...we met on the phone (I think I called her about an opportunity at that time) and have stayed in touch sparingly...and just told her about what I have been doing...and she seemed quite interested. This has been a month and she has done nothing...here is the email I got from her today:



"Hello Dino,

I’m sending this to you as it is so simple and it was sent to me by a networker who is very successful in all that she does and she wanted to share with me. It doesn’t matter what you are doing now this takes little time.

I say why not!

I think this is terrific!

I emailed her back this:



"Thank you for thinking of me. I am jealously guarding my time and not looking for anything else.

Honestly, based on the conversation we have had about xxxxxxxx (and what you see is happening with me - 35 customers to date for free) and the fact you are already a customer...I am even surprised you are looking around and have not joined and hit the ground running.

I am happy to talk to you and answer any questions you have...but really what else is there to ask? Get involved and use the products you know work...already and let's get going on a concrete plan to get you in better shape physically and financially.

I am reachable today between 830-930 Eastern.

This not a big deal it is not something to make a big decision about.

Just thought this is neat as no cost involved..

The lady that sent this to me is a busy woman and she thought this was neat!

I’m not looking around I have people contact me daily on businesses and I don’t have to look around.

I have not forgotten what you have but, MLM is something I’m not about to rush into…

Several income streams is important,that is one of the many things I heard in MLM, this is a no brainer….wouldn’t you agree?

I just could not take it any more...personally...I have learned...if someone is telling me they are focused on something...I just leave them alone!

So did I get mad and answer her back...no...I just blocked her emails.

What is the point here...I think you have it by now...

Would anyone have done anything different....? Any similar stories you guys/gals have we can all learn from?

Dude, don't block her emails, when she realizes that it takes about 10,000 clicks per day to earn about $1.00 she'll lose interest... you need to be there to pick up the pieces.

Wow...I'm just "amazed" that she got offended by you telling her "no".

I probably would have told her something like, "Yes, having multiple income streams can be great IF you're an experienced marketer who knows how to handle/juggle them. But it's best to be focused and get that [i]first stream running smoothly before you go "digging up" (adding) another one! Currently, I am focused on _____ but hey, I wish you all the best and hope things work out for you in this new program and if it doesn't, I'll be here when you're ready to take action with what we previously discussed about ______!"[/i]

I'd only block her emails IF she continued to carry it on or if she continued to (what I consider) spamming you with other programs. Obviously she has not grasped the concept of how to properly market or she wouldn't even be coming to you like that...she needs to learn how to generate leads. If people were constantly contacting her about it, I don't think she would have needed to pitch you.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not TOTALLY opposed to the idea of sharing with others...but thing is, if I knew you were already involved heavily in something I would not be presenting you with yet ANOTHER program unless I knew you were looking for one. Also, her email just sounded, "sales pitchy". Her approach was all wrong...not to mention that if you said, "No thanks...I'm not interested" she should not have gotten beside herself but rather just said, "Oh okay...just thought I'd share in case you were interested!" and left it at that.

Just forget about it and move on...Remember, there are a lot of people out there who are brain dead!

There eyes are glazed over and think that all you have to do in this industry or some new thing on the internet is sign up for some "Free" thing that is offered and presto, off you go making money for doing nothing more then just clicking here and there. Oh, and make sure you tell all your friends about it so they too can see what an idiot you are!

I used to mess around with people like her thinking I had a live one that might join me in business some day...Not anymore.

Today, I want big thinkers in business with me. I want professional people who are sharp, motivated, and realize that with anything in life for success one must provide action with the right vehicle to make it happen.

I say, forget about it and learn from it. There are more people today then ever chasing some pie in the sky new this or that program that they think is going to make them money.

Be very picky about who you invite into business with you or even waste your time by sending some people info about your business. Online, you will be most likely be pitched by what ever it is that they do.

Life is too short and there are not enough hours in the day to waste your time on 'tire kickers' and people looking for 'free money'. For many out there the internet holds a fascination with easy money. As real business owners we know it is work like any other business (we just work in our 'jammies' LOL). I can appreciate you wanting to vent on this, but now I would say spend that energy with people who are truly looking for what you have and would like your help in your opportunity.

I would have to agree with Larry B. and networkerRandy. Forget it for now and move on! Be wary of those you would invite to join your business ventures. But...Don't just drop her....She will either quit on her own or she will see the light someday and you can gain from her experiences at that time!

Well i'll tell you my story. I had met this really awesome lady through my mom, she even invited us over for lunch, very nice lady. She was involved in Network Mktg already but she was struggling in that particular company, so I told her to check out my opportunity & just to give me her opinion (no strings attached), she proceeded to bombard me with e-mails & even sent me a magazine, and this was from another company she had just switched to...she never even checked out my opportunity... but there she went e-mailing my about meetings, etc. So yea...I just ignore her e-mails now...but you gave a good idea, I could block her. lol
