Yes I know that I am having 'a moan' but please forgive me, I am having "one of those days"!
many years ago in England I joined a network marketing company, good products, and I stayed with them for about 12 months. The first training call I heard from them was just a person telling everyone to make a list of all their friends ...and on and on... we all all remember those 'pep talks' right?.
Well I moved to America and after searching round for a decent company and seeing the way that everything is 'different' now..... I decided to re-join them (Four years after my first experience with them).... I was told how everything is 'different' and 'updated' and modern now..... Well I have spent the last two weeks getting my website ready and everything prepared for my 'big launch' ....so today I went to my first 'new members' phone in, and guess what... we was all told to do? Yeah right!... I am sure that it is still the same recording that I heard years ago. After 10 minutes I abandoned it......it's not that I am against people doing that if they choose to (but I just honestly do not know anybody that well).... and if I did I would not like to approach them in that way.....
Sooooo..... I have been on the internet today and I recieved an email promoting a 'new' Biz Op. It looked pretty good so I decided to listen in to it on Skype. They did'nt know that I was online. The people that are promoting the plan were chatting with each other online and they were complaining that 'nobody has turned up again' ...... are we just kidding each other on here?
Please tell me I am wrong, and if possible show some proof (on here, I don't want to fill in a capture page).... I do not believe that anyone is getting all the FREE leads that I keep on reading about....
Thats it, thats my moan over and done with for the day, I feel better already, I guess thats part of the pleasure of being a member of "Betternotworking?" regards Nemo.

That's good for you, Jim.
When I started with some of my companies, I was given a 'list' as well. The internet was not used at that time. Talking to people and making one on one presentations were the thing to do.
I still may go around my list of friends and acquaintenances and I let them ask me what I am doing. That's a whole new conversation starting up. If you start the conversation, they don't want to hear it.
You can always make new friends and just enjoy their company before you push anything on them. People are not receptive to salesmen. Let them talk, listen and fill their need.
