A Mentoringforfree question..

Postby Jim Ticehurst on Wed May 20, 2009 4:37 pm

Hi, have any of the members on here had any dealings with 'mentoringforfree? if you have I would appreciate any comments regarding your experience with them.... is this a disguised 'sales pitch'? is the 'free mentoring' worthwhile? (good or bad) many thanks, regards Nemo.

Mentoring For Free... MFF.. In Short it is a long con.

The end resault is this H&W product that.. WEll I guess you have to like that kind of stuff to comment on its value.

AS for the actual program... Everthing about it is setup and designed to make you look for a certin program and Shock and Awww ... They are the only MLM offering what they tell you to look for.

The 5 pillar system... If you talk to them you are gonna get a line about competing your training before you make a choice and they will send you some information on the MLM you picked... Guess what.. it is gonna suck...

I talked to MFF for some time and this is MY experence.

I was approached by someone from MFF and I guessed right away that everthing about them was set to teach you they were the best MLM ever. So, i told him no thanks... Then I get an Email from a nice gentelman talking about his company being a mentoring company that has tried 100's of MLM and offeres advice to get past the pitfalls. He was also saying he was willing to offer me mentorship for free so he could use me to post about once I was a success. In exchange I was not to join an MLM till after the training. So off we went down the road and one of the first steps was going to this MFF site and listening to this book... So, I was thinking.. "Well, there must be some vaule in the book and I can sort it out as long as know they want me to join them and are gonna point everything to tell me I should. Well then I tried to listen to the book... 28 min of this dude droning on and on about How he HAD to write this book and offering almost no content of value and If they had condenced it you could have shortened it to 3 min or less... So, I stoped going and listening and forgot about MFF. Before long I got an email, Yet again it was someone new from MFF and he was offering me some friendly advice... He was careful never to respond to any emails and always send new ones. After 2-3 emails back and forth he had managed to ignore all my questions and told me what they were realy about... Vitamark or something.

I have thought about blocking all MFF members but I don't think that is the way to go... They are realy working their system and tring hard to be successful.

So, If you want to walk with MFF then know they are gonna to try to train you that they are the best and if you know that there is some training they can offer. You realy have to think about all free information you get and think about why it is being offered. The best free information you find is from someone that offers advanced training that you have to pay for. They offer the free training so you see they are worth investing in. Other then that... Take it with a grain of salt.

I was approached by someone back in 04 about MFF. I didn't see much benefit in it.

I do agree with some parts of the comments on this issue of Mentoring for Free. It isn't for everybody that is for certain. If you are succeeding in your company you are with, Mentoring for Free is not for you, if you have no desire to own your life, Mentoring for Free is not for you. If your company's pay plan is structured in such a way that an organization of 350 or less brings you a monthly residual income of $10K Mentoring for Free is not for you. If you are not an independent thinker, Mentoring for Free is not for you. Unlike 98% of the HBB elsewhere, Mentoring for Free teaches you skills of How to think, NOT What to think. After 19 years of taking other people's explanation of how a business works and why it works that way, I found this e-book and learned from it How to evaluate if my business I was in was a solid business that was going to assist me in reaching my financial goals. I learned NOT to take THEIR word for it but the skills to independently evaluate and find out the information for myself. Now I am experiencing true success far beyond my wildest imagination. I'm not in Mentoring for Free to take people from companies they are completely happy in, but I am interested in helping you increase your skill set to realize the success you were born to realize in the business of your choice. You have nothing to lose, at least download the ebook and see if what I am saying is true http://roberta.successin10steps.com/?mad=31669, if you find it's not for you, you will not have lost any money whatsoever and you will be able to continue your search toward success.
I wish you all the success in the world.

Hey Jim:

Good that you're doing your due dilligence on this. :-)

There are many threads here at BN about MFF (Mentoring For Free) - some pretty heated discussions in a few of them.

I was a (long term) member of MFF - but absolutely no longer (long story).

MFF - As others have said here - for some, MFF is just fine (especially if you're associated with MD's company, Vitamark - an excellent company). And yes, there is some good training provided there, for sure. BUT, there's also a "hidden agenda" - make no mistake (Vitamark). What I found was - new people to MFF usually get 'swept away' with what they see, at first. They become ambassadors for MFF.

However, after being around it for a while, and digging deeper, they often begin to see a 'different side' to the 'mentor with a servant's heart' slogan - and become less enthusiastic.

Objective Reviews of MFF - Perhaps two of the best sources of information on this are from Dr. Mark Worther, Psychologist, as well as a successful MLM leader + Forest Marie, another MLM leader.

I think you'll find their Reviews helpful (as well as some of the responses in Mark's).

My thanks to both of these professionals for these.

I apologize, I didn't mean to come across arrogantly. I was simply trying to communicate that what Mentoring for Free has done for me was to learn the skills to own my life and learn how to run my business successfully and create a comfortable recession proof living for me and my family. I wish you well. Take care, Roberta

Why do you think 350 or less is something you should note?

Ok, So you need ~400 people to make 10,000 a month. How long does this take on average when you spent huge time commitments on the mentoring phase and little else?

If the business you are starting cost 10,000$ to set up then LIKELY(maybe not, but likely) You will hit that 10,000 per month with fewer reps. If it cost 3$ to start you might need 10,000. I think it should more be measured by time commitment.

Also there is a question of customers and Implied leverage vrs True leverage. If you have True Leverage then there are some companies (that I know of and can show via the business model) that you could do this solo. No reps at all. Mind you there would be huge time investments to the tune of years, depending on your skill at sales.

From what I see most in MFF is a system designed like a wolf in sheep skin. The business is laid out to look good, the recuitment method looks helpful and the product is health and wellness. It is like walking up to a rock and finding out it is a snake... Everone spends so much time learnign how to talk and how to walk and who to talk too... It is like you are missing the big picture.

Now don't get me wrong... If you are a success in MFF then you are welcome to talk to me about whatever I am doing. I think your commitment to the rules and your company shows you are all skilled.

It just seems to me like this is a very underhanded way to do business. If you were mentors that sold a product and had real mentoring(direct and too the point) then I can't see how this would not work better.

One last thing that bothers me about MFF is they hold back the true business... It is like meeting the parents of a new partner. You drive up and she says "Wait here. I will tell you when to come in."
Who konws what she realy plans to say but it is easy to think she is trying to justify why she is with you and "prep" her parents for the shock they are about to get...
I just am not sure I would want to be in a business where the last thing I talked about was my real business and I spent all my time trying to "teach" people how to look for my business...

O well to each their own.
