Lead capture pages

Postby Jim Ticehurst on Wed Mar 25, 2009 2:18 pm

Hi all, I know that this is gonna be a real 'no-brainer' for most of you on here....and I am sure that this has been asked before but here goes anyway.
I have created my website and people are looking at it. Fine. But that is all. Could some-one please explain to me how to build a capture page that people have to enter their details in so that they will then be directed to my website? At the moment they are just looking at the website and that as they say is the end of that! Once they have viewed my website there is really no reason for them to leave any details, they have already seen all that there is to see!
Do I need to set up another website to use to host the capture page? Do I need to subscribe to an Autoresponder provider? if so do they automatically forward my website to a person that fills a form in? any help or tips would sure be appreciated, regards Nemo.

Hey Nemo,

Your questions are valid. I haven't seen your site so I'm not quite sure what it looks like. However, I think the first thing you want to do is really know what a capture page is. All it is is a simple page that people come to and put in their first name, email address and whatever else you want from them. Once they do that, they will become part of your list. Yes, you do need an autoresponder. Get IContact that's what Mike Dillard uses and a bunch of other really sharp guys. Second, you want to visit Jim Yaghi's page about setting up a capture page. All you do is write some content and it's all laid out for you. Of course, you need a domain name and some hosting software. I hope I'm not going over your head with this stuff. This is Jim's capture page template http://www.jimyaghi.com/capture_generator/. Also, what are you currently doing to get traffic to your site? Are you using PPC, SEO, what's your strategy? I think I might be able to help. Just let me know a little more and I should be able to point you in the right direction. Also, whatever you do, don't stop reading about this stuff. It's daunting at first. It's supposed to be. Not everybody makes it. But if you keep plugging in here and reading all you can you should be fine. Just keep going.

Hi Jim,
this is the easiest lead capture page generator bar none!

http://bit.ly/E3ibw

After using it with great results, and watching tonight's
relaunch webinar, with all the new additions to the software, I can
say without a doubt, this is the most exciting piece of software
I have ever seen, or used. The webinar was recorded and I'll
send it to you, as soon as it's posted, so you can see what I mean.

Anyway, my new friend Jeff Long launched his InstantCapturePage
just 3 weeks ago and has literally SHOCKED internet marketers
world wide with this thing!

Why? Because it rocks! This simple little tool is a MUST HAVE
for ANYONE trying to build a list and benefit from the use of a
website.

You can literally create an INSTANT capture page out of ANY
website you want!
You don't even have to OWN the website! Yeah crazy I
know, but check it out...

Well, here's the thing...He's launched Version 2 tonight and tomorrow
morning at 10AM is the deadline to get Grandfathered in for the one time cost
lifetime membership. After 10AM tomorrow it will be a yearly membership,
at a slightly higher cost. Still an amazing deal for what you get. There is
NOTHING that compares! But why pay more and have to repay every year?

He's also rolling out a two tiered affiliate program, even at the free level.
Yes there is a totally free affiliate position so you can market it before you
buy, if you want or need to.

Jeff is including some new features that are going to just EXPLODE your
personal lists AND help you drive more TRAFFIC to any website you want!
An amazing viral twitter follower plus a custom voice broadcasting system included.

You'll see what I mean when I send you the webinar. In the mean time have
a look at the video on the page above which explains it all.

All the best for your success,
Adrian Armstrong

p.s. It took me 4 minutes to make my first capture page, it's
that easy to use. Here are three sites I made just so you see
how it can be used. They were all made in just minutes.

p.p.s.
The last one is a great video from Anthony Robbins. So I was
able to hijack his ad campaign, which by the way is one of the
biggest events online right now, and make it into my own lead
capture page. I highly recommend watching Tony's video.

p.p.p.s. Don't forget! 10AM Friday and I think that's Eastern Time.
All the best for your success,

Add opt-in to FACEBOOK. http://returnonsubscriber.com/2009/06/18/facebook-page-newsletter-opt-in-box-tutorial/ Only if you have a high quality Facebook page.

Write down your marketing plan, and ask for help, you need help with the plan. Is your site a blog? That should be your hub (or Facebook) where you send everybody, to get to know you, before you ask for the money. The most common method to get them to your blog is to give them an E-book. If you have an opt-in for a free report, you can send them to a low cost sales page etc., or just build up the relationship with E-mails.Then you ask them what they want to buy (survey them) and sell it to them. Give them value then some of them will give you money.

It's in your mind ! :D

Hi Jim,

I've been a web developer for 15 years and will always seek a way to use 3rd party software before trying to code it myself. If you are in this industry to make money, then you will not try to figure out how to create the technologies you want to use. ie. blogs, articles, auto-responders, newsletters, CRM...etc. There is all-in-one software out there that will do it for you. It's better to take the time to learn how to use the software than to program a solution (piece-by-piece) and then teach yourself the software. Especially if you want to make money now.

I'd like to share with you what I consider the best 3rd party software out there, for what you are trying to accomplish. Let's chat! :D

Hi Jim,

On the other side of things, because I don't know if you're making a landing page, or you're sending visitors to a website, you'll at least need the autoresponder service like iContact or Aweber. Create a "List" and then make a "Web Form" (at least in Aweber it's called a Web Form) for that list. When you create your webform, there is a place for you to put in the url of the website you want to send visitors when they enter their info and press "submit"

The web-form code that generates is what you insert into your landing page, like Jim Yaghi's free product. You can also put it in the sidebar of your blog, if your website is a blog on Wordpress.

Just make sure the opt-in box has a call to action. You can't just put a form on your website and expect people to put their information, right? Give them a reason, and make sure it relates to the website you're sending them too!

cheers,
Crystal

Re: Lead capture pages

Postby Mike Cook on Mon Jan 17, 2011 12:56 pm

Hi Jim,

CAUTION! As an e-marketer for the past 10 years I have used multiple online programs to run my business all at one time.

In the old days we had to use separate tools but it's still being taught that way today!

The problem lies in having to go from one program (auto-responder) to another CRM (customer manager), to another blogs, to another leads, and so on. Now-a-days you don't need to do that! Do you get the idea?

Although the last post was supposed to help you by introducing you to an auto-responder and lead capture page, I want to save you the time and show you one tool that does it all for you.

Why would anyone spend 15-25 dollars a month for just an auto-responder (icontact, aweber) when they can spend a few extra dollars more for a total of $27.00 per month and everything they need. You need more as an Internet marketer. (Custom lead capture pages, auto-responder/email system, contact manager, article publishing, 3-company promotion, tours, advertising co-op, video lead capture pages, flash lead capture pages, social links, personal profile pages, banner advertising, video training, realtime lead feed, canledar...etc.)

I know this sounds like a pitch but it's not. Everyone here should consider what I'm saying. Your job as a network marketer would be so much easier.

It's smarter using Prospect Automation Technology!

I use this technology to market my primary MLM business which is Mandura. You will not see any links on my profile or on my posts regarding what I'm talking about.

The system posted my response twice, so I'm removing this one. I pushed the submit button twice and that kind of thing will happen :D
