What is your best.......?

O'K guys, this one is for you. Since most of us on this site have our own MLM to promote, what is your BEST opening line for introducing your MLM to family, friends, strangers or other MLMer's?

I have been a professional telemarketer for a long time, and I NEVER work without a script. It would be like a tight-rope walker walking without a net to do so. So, let's hear it.

I have tended to stay away from family and friends in the past just because I like them just the way they are as friends, not business partners. However, after friends see success they will naturally want to join your business opportunity, at least that is how it was with me.

If they don't already have the desire to own a network marketing business, then I don't think that you can put it in them. But i mean if they come up to you asking you about your business, then that is a whole different story.

As for other MLMer's

I try not to introduce my opportunity until I have some sort of a relationship with them, and usually they have their own biz opp. anyways so their is really no point in me pitching them on mine.

Most of the time with me at least, it is like they are just ready to switch opps. or maybe they have a crappy upline, something a long that nature, and then they just come to me.

And as for the phone conversation's with people that I do not know, i usually have a short little interview. Nothing BIG, I mean i am no Mike Dillard, but I always try to evaluate their goals and make sure they can see themselves making that kind of money.

I then try to sell them my book of course, as my front end retail product, like a funded proposal because if they are not willing to put in 27 bucks to increase their knowledge then I have to ask the question to myself of how dedicated are they?

After they have read the book, and they have gotten qualified that is when I bring up the opportunity, and usually by that time they are so annoyed by all the hassle they are ready to listen to my opp :)

Sorry to say, but I never liked using a script. People can feel when you're not being genuine with them, they know your vocabulary, they know how you talk. Most scripts are usually a bit cheesy/cliche when you read them on the internet.
Personally I just tell people I have something they need to look into. They watch the ABC Prime time special, and we go from there. The video is that powerful, it does the "initial pitch" for me with proven, patented, science - no script can top that :)

You don't have to sound like a recording when using your opening line. I have been involved with telephone sales for most of my adult life. If you don't know how to start a conversation, or introduce your business then you are not going to get very far with presenting it.

How does this line sound, "Would you like to improve your health or your wealth or both? Yes? How soon would you like to get started?"

I hesitate doing this but... go to http://www.KimandPhilStone.com and do not bother registering- just use the code word- marketer -and you will come upon 8 generic videos- having nothing to do with promoting a company. Most are devoted to the invitation. And... "Hi" is the way each invitation script starts.

I won't approach my family and friends.
Besides they're not really interested in my business.
They are those type of people that don't believe that NM works.

I listen first then I approach the other person with a solution.
