Which is the most effective marketing technique you've used
Hi. I was wondering, which is the most effective marketing (online or offline) technique you've used to attract prospects to your mlm business?
I know there might be a lot of other people wondering the exact same thing. Can't wait to hear what you have to say.

Great question Jessica!
Honestly my answer is somewhat simple... I talk to everyone.
Seriously, as dumbed down as that may sound, I just talk to everyone about what I do.
Everyone I know or meet either asks "So what are you up to?" or "So... What do you do?"
Of course I use online tools to do the same thing, but it all accomplishes the same thing...
Get The Word Out. Do It Right. Do It Often.
That's it.

PS:
Hint- A key factor is having a VALUABLE answer.
I work at so and so might not be that intriguing.
By constantly adding value to ourselves it makes our answer more interesting and therefore more engaging.

At the moment I think Twitter.com is the hottest social media site right now. It is growing at such a fast rate. There is tremendous opportunity on Twitter. Remember to position yourself as a teacher and people will listen to you, and eventually subscribe to your list.

Jessica,
Of all of the marketing methods I use, I found that my posts on work at home forums have been the most effective. I get calls from people who read the posts and want additional information about my business.
The forum posts have helped my Google rankings too! A post I created a year ago keeps me on the 1st page when someone enters the business name!
Much success to you!
Robin

Jessica, you are using the most effective tool on the internet. This site is wonderful for creating relationships and sharing information. It also helps that lately I have been trying to follow Jon's advice. Remember that network marketing is a sharing business and a helping business. It has nothing to do with selling. Nobody makes a dime until they commit to helping other people to achieve their goals and then go out and help them.

Personally...
..I ran i nto a great deal on tourist postcards..Now, I am not a phone person so I
had to look for one and I did at a flea market and found this particular lady that
was exceptionally good..and of course she had all week to do it for me..
So all I did was write "Jessica, I've been trying to reach you I got some important info
for you..please give me a buzz"..Phone number of the lady that was going to answer the
phone and talk to the prospect..from a buyers list of course..
I hired 20 more and the rest what can I say..however, only 3 of the 20 join my company
strange huh?..
rey
P.S. Back then We used to get our check with a matrix print out all the details but what I
like best was the name and address of my downline..

Re: Which is the most effective marketing technique you've used
hmmm..., ya know a few years ago, I did about 60 videos that got me a really good mixture of traffic and phone calls from people all over the planet. All I did in those videos was "riff" on information I took in from other programs like MagneticSponsoring, The Alpha Code (Joe Schroeder), and other books I read, gave it a personal "taste twist", and basically gave "highlights" of the information. I would occasionally use current events, that I got from my home page news, and base the information around that topic, and use a headline around the current event (made the views go through the roof...).
Sometimes I would leave a link to a blog that further elaborated on it, but I used MySpace as a sort of "Landing Page", and by the time they called me, they had already read all ablout me, knew what I was up to (in a business sence). I got calls from New Guinea, Australia, England, and ALL across the US.
On the web I was getting anywhere from 13-20 opt-ins/day, and the action I was taking was not anykind of consistant...I was working 10-15 hrs./day at my job, but it was how the videos targeted other businesses online and the message presentation that got me the "pull"...yeah, that was the most effective marketing technique I've used. (Video)

Stephen,
Thank you for that detailed advice. I am planning on implementing that strategy and just need to get around to it.
From someone who is not too comfy with the camera yet, did you find that it got easier with time?
Thanks,
