The biggest thing that I find when people are first starting out advertising to generate leads, is they place one free ad, and when that doesn't work they feel that online advertising must not work.

You need to stay consistent, place ads using multiple methods. The more ads is more places you have the more leads you are going to get.

One other thing, is that if you are not capturing your traffics information or sending them to a place that can capture their information using a web form, then you are basically leaving a ton of money on the table.

Always capture their information and have a form on the page you are send your advertisements to.

One last tip. Be sure that your ads are relevant to the content contained in the page you are sending the ad to. This will make sure you are going to be getting people to opt in who actually want what you have!

That is all I have for now!

Be unique. Stand out from the pack. Look at what everyone else is doing (that is working) and study it. Keep studying success. Never stop. The more you study the success of others, the better you will get at anything. And, lead generation is no different.

Mike...thanks for setting this up. This is going to be cool!

Greetings from the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California,

For me, I believe the best lead generation tip would be to identify your target market, who you are looking to attract and utilize Web 2.0 "My Story Marketing". Be yourself, tell your story on sites like MySpace, and You Tube. Facts tell but stories sell.

As the industry rapidly evolves with new technology, the power of the internet has and will continue to drive the way business is conducted on a global basis. We now have the opportunity, even the little guy...to build globally. Video is an extremely powerful way to set yourself apart, get your message out there and attract others to your business. It's a popular format for search engines once you learn the tricks and has helped to attract people from all over the world to me and my businesses. I now have free laser targeted leads and traffic contacting me, I'm having fun, enjoying massive online success and I can truly say that I love what I do.

Here's to Your Success,

Juli Schamel

The Most Targeted MLM Lead I Ever Found

Postby Jim Yaghi on Sun Sep 30, 2007 11:37 pm

For me, Pay Per Click Advertising works great! But I discovered one source that may not always bring in as much volume of traffic, but consistently delivers the most targeted traffic and qualified MLM leads I have ever seen!

Many people think of Article marketing as just a means to get Search Engines notice their sites. So they abuse it with unnatural keyword flooded content.

Although this may boost your search engine rankings, it certainly kills your credibility online for anyone who does read these rubbish articles.

Your purpose must always be to deliver genuine content no matter what your purpose--Be it an ezine article, a video on YouTube, a Press Release, or even a MySpace advertisement.

An article is essentially a piece of marketing in itself. In fact it gives you enough space and attention to qualify your prospect better than ANY lead capture page does. Prospects that click your link in the bio section of your Ezine article actually arrive on your page ready to buy.

If you guys have watched The Secret, you'll know that getting leads for your business has to do with the laws of attraction. Tell people your story using Web 2.0 - free platforms and online communities such as mySpace, you tube, squidoo, facebook, yuwie, etc., - use then as leverage to draw people in. Stories draw people in because the common ground it can establish. Once you build rapport of your story, then that will allow them to trust you with your product and service, which increases the odds of hearing a "yes" when it comes to adding them to your downline.

The thing you have to realize with MLM and other businesses is that people don't buy into products as much as they buy into leadership and the assurance that they'll be lead to success. You could have a product that makes all the sense in the world or a compensation plan that promises to pay off a ton, but really putting yourself out there and building trust as a leader will be the key to generating those leads and attracting the right people into your business.

Providing people with value is the best lead generating tool because once you build that rapport and trust they will start coming in packs and the flood gates will open. Contact me if you have any more questions.

First of all, Mike I can't thank you enough for your encouragement and support. I've learned an immense amount from you in the last year that we've know each other and I'm really proud of the results you've produced for yourself and the tens and tens of thousands of others.

You're a true leader and an amazing mentor.

Ok enough of the sappy stuff. Here's an answer to your question.

One of the best ways to generate leads is to follow what you teach - to learn certain skills that provides real value to yourself and others. This usually translates into learning things such as copywriting, attraction marketing, PPC advertising, etc. etc.

But what about new reps who don't take the time to learn these skills and instead copy them from their upline instead? The people they attract aren't as genuinely attracted to them as much as they are to the copy their upline wrote or the video they produced.

How then is someone who is looking to join an opportunity suppose to know who to join that has taken the time to invest in their own personal growth?

Most of the time the new rep doesn't have these skills or if they do they haven't had the time to showcase their knowledge by putting together an ebook to download or creating a 10 day boot camp for instance. :)

Enter now a new form of marketing rep...

This marketing rep is learning and growing in the skills of copywriting, affiliate marketing, etc., etc. and can PROVE IT!

Here's how...

Encourage your instructors to offer certification courses for the topics they teach. This way the new marketing rep can easily handle tough questions from the person they are recruiting.

"Do you know anything about copy writing? I've seen hundreds of ads on the internet and they all look the same. Why should I join you versus the hundreds of other people."

"Easy. I'm a YSCC."

"What???"

"Yeah, I'm enrolled in Yanik Silver's 3 part program for effective ad writing and I just completed my second course. Here's my certification. It say's I'm an YSCC (Yanik Silver Copywriting Certified)."

(I just made that up by the way)

And you know, somehow that just sounds A LOT better to me than getting your MCSE :)Sorry IT guys.

Gaining credentials like these will allow you to continue to grow in the areas that are most important while also showing the rest of the world in a really fast, proven and highly effective way that you are serious about yourself and your business opportunity.

This also gives the instructors a 1) new platform for delivering their material and 2) Leverage.

Yes, it's true great copywriter like Yanik can make millions a year and do over and over again while maintaining only one employee on the payroll. But how much more can Yanik and others make if they have 50 other certified instructors selling their material for them???

"Great," you're probably thinking "I missed the boat again on this one."

Hey, it's pretty obvious I'm not the best copywriter either, but I can tell you one of the things that I bet you and I are both thinking....

"How much money can I make being a YSCC?" Or some other form of certification? (I don't mean to single out Yanik here I just think he's the best copywriter around and is one of many great instructors on Mike's forum).

Not only will having these certifications vastly improve your marketability and allow you to generate many more leads by acquiring your new publicized and proven skills, but you can take these skills to other industries as well.

But remember, generating leads is all up to you, it doesn't matter whether instructors decide to offer a course or not, and no body is ever going to hand it to you.

If you want to really generate leads then I encourage you to follow Mike's advice and invest in yourself so you can stand out in the marketplace and provide genuine value.

A good idea i havent really seen anyone else do...

Postby Jim Yaghi on Mon Oct 01, 2007 5:23 am

I often have MLM distributors call me and ask how to get started online. They ask me if they can copy what I do.

That's not really such a great idea because this is all about adding your bit of personality to the marketing mix. Copying me won't give you that uniqueness that makes you valuable in your own way to the world.

Quite often I speak to second language speakers who worry that their English isn't good enough. Who said marketing had to be done in English?

If you speak Malay and you're advertising in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia for example you could be writing your ads in Malay and your sales letters in Malay. It would still be attraction marketing but i bet you anything you will have very FEW competitors in that niche.

You know what else? As a Malay speaker browsing the net, whose ad do you think they're more likely to click? The one in Malay or the one in English?

I read a quote in a Natural Language Generation PhD computer science presentation that said something along the lines of "People buy in their own language"...there's an idea.

When it comes to Internet marketing there is many ways of generating great traffic and leads for your site, but when you are able to use web2.0 it makes it even better and fun, I went from using pay per click to using simple little videos on YouTube, and creating lenses on Squidoo to drive *Hot* leads to me...Now that is just the beginning of web2.0. This is why we are here because of the social networking sites that allow people to interact and to really get to know each other.

Step 1. Identify The Types of Leads

Consumer Leads (This one is the BEST and easiest leads to deal with)

Response Leads (This one want more info and takes forever to convert)
Demographic Leads (This one just cost too expensive)
Genealogy Leads (This one sticnks! and takes too much time and effort)
Friends & Family Leads (This is the worst!)

Step 2. Identify The Consumer Leads That Is Buying Similar Product or Service

If my program is $4000, then I must target market who buys similar type of program around $4000! For people are creatures of habit! Now tool buyers will try another tool! But cheap tool buyers will only buy another cheap tools! And at the same time the quality tool buyer will always buy quality tools!

Step 3. Identify their challenges and pains and struggles

If you knew that the average network marketer sponsor 2 to 3 people only and 97% of them fail!

Step 4. Create a Solution Message

Something like this, "Are you interested in making your first sale?"

Step 5. Show them how they can get that done one on one

Ask them to call you and build relationship based on their needs and desire wants, not your own

Now this lead generation is laser focused and it is very magnetic & powerful
This does not work for everyone and the reason why is not everyone is a passionate leaders who is willing to go an extra miles to add massive use value!
