I'm a developer and definitely agree with Adam. Get pictures, mark them up with your expectations and then use an escrow (3rd party who holds the money) so you don't get in to this situation. On behalf of the programmers though, you get what you pay for usually. if you got a "good deal", it was probably because it wasn't.

i can refer a really good web designer who knows how to get it done right the first time but he is not cheap (not expensive either). if you are interested, let me know.

Hey BN Friends!

Like the new look Cristian I'm glad they did the adjustments for you.
Well, I still haven't received the remainder of my refund. Called PayPal today and there was a glitch...should have it tomorrow. They asked about the remainder $50 and the rep at paypal said it is against THEIR policy for a company not to do a full refund (I said nothing to them about it). They wrote the company and requested the additional $50. And, Wordpress wrote me and told me that they banned the company from bidding on any futher jobs. I feel a bit bad. But, I did write the company and tell them what I wanted and was told they would/could do it. And, after 7 days I didn't even have a completed headline. I'll just be glad to get my full refund and get my site done.

Have any of you proceeded with the next lesson? I couldn't even find the plugin they talked about. It's listed under a different name now.

I recently purchased a multi-site license to the 'flexx theme' check it out through google. You should check it out. It's $200, but a quick google search for discount coupons made it only $150. Definetely worth looking at. =) I hate scammers. Giving us real freelancers a bad name. If you need help, your best bet are places like http://www.guru.com or http://www.elance.com .

Do a google search on the people who are a part of that specific Word Press situation. See if the people had gotten sued, if they had been incarcerated. That way if they have you could run!!
