Persistence Needs Motivation

Postby monica odenwald on Wed Nov 11, 2009 11:36 am

Some of the most motivated people in this industry first overcame huge challenges before their success.

In the book, The Women's MIllionaire Club, 21 Millionaires share their stories and secrets for success.

Without giving away too much, their secret is to help each new lead reach their fullest potential through their home-businesses.

Having overcome so many barriers, persisted and then found success, their motivation stems way beyond money. Their PURPOSE or MISSION is so clear and strong to help others reach their goals.

Does overcoming greater obstacles teach us more about life and gives us a stronger mission?

I find people who have a MISSION in their work that guides their every move are true leaders and life mentors. Wealth is NOT What motivates these millionaires. It is the love and passion for helping others.

Great read!

Monica PS What motivates you to help others..just money is not an adequate reply.

People get involved in a business to make money. If they have what it takes they will develop themselves into a new person. Rich Dad Poor Dad says in order to become a millionaire you must become a millionaire on the insde first then the money will follow.

I couldn't agree more!

I had a huge discussion with my daughter (who is learning to play the violin) on the difference between being stubborn and having tenacity... and we resolved that it requires persistent daily practice to showcase both, but only one will propel you forward. Having the strength to keep the fires burning while dealing with challenges on the journey make all the difference. The greatest gift we can give ourselves is to have a mission, to know our "why", to focus our vision and proceed from the core of confidence that that knowledge provides.

Thanks Chris, people do get into this business to make money. I did. But I have found that the 90% of people that quit "doing this" (At least in my first income stream) have a MISSION in life that is NOT connected to their business.

When it is just about the money, people think in monetary terms and don't rise out of that pursuing money for money's sake MINDSET.

Have you ever heard that title DO What You Love and The Money Will Follow?

That little girl learning the discipline to play the violin will find the money later in her life to fulfill her life dreams because she has a wise mom who is teaching her, not the value of money but how to nurture a greater purpose in her life.

Dream first my friend, then find the money! Watch it pour in if your life is about service to serving others in their discovery of their higher purpose in life!

I like what you said,'do what you love and the money will flow.' A lot of people get into this market to make money. Of course. But that is not the only reason. When you find a passion to do something, you will do it relentlessly until you achieve it. Playing the piano had to be a passion. My sister learned to play the piano when she was little. Now she teaches music to children. She loves her passion. She was persistent in her desire to be better at what she wanted to do. The money does come later. With persistence you will become motivated until you can make money from it.
