Hi All,
New to this forum. I've been in Network Marketing for a while but have not have much success becuase I was listening to my upline and doing mostly the old school process...making a list, setting up meetings, etc.
I started trying out the online method about a month ago. I've got a capture page for a free course, a sales page, an autoresponder series.
On a daily basis I'm trying to come up with a plan to follow like:
1. Make X amount of forum posts
2. Write x amount articles and submit to x amount of sites
3. Make x amount of tweets
Do you have a plan like this? and what is it? I'm trying to find my own magic formula.
Thanks everyone!

Hi Roxanne,
Here's an outline I had posted in the forums some time back.
Maybe you can find a few useful nuggets.
Hope it helps ...

Describe in detail, exactly what you want your business to look like in 18 months.
Reverse engineer exactly what it will take to accomplish that - Be Specific!
Identify quarterly milestones - 3mo, 6mo, 9mo, 12mo, 15mo, 18mo and what you will achieve by that time.
Find three strategies (daily action items) that you can allocate 4 hours per day to and complete them every day.
Anyone that is unable to allocate at least 20 hours per week to building their business should not expect any significant results. These daily action items should meet the needs of the areas you identified for your milestones. Spending 3 hours a day organizing your office and 1 hour on Facebook won't cut it. Each action should accomplish something that moves you closer to completing each milestone. ie.. GET PAID!
Pick a start date for your plan - like yesterday would be a good place to start - and do those action items every single day, without fail. Even if you have to work from 10pm-2am 7 days a week - JUST DO IT!
Analyze your results as you reach each milestone. This is important! Don't ever waste time analyzing your results until you have results to analyze. By the time you hit your first milestone at 3 months you should have some pretty good data to look at. Make necessary adjustments and keep going. Until then, keep your head down and work your butt off to reach the milestone.
I can't stress this enough - IF you want real results - You Must Be Relentless!
As you begin to see results you should find that the time it takes to get your tasks completed for each of the 3 strategies decreases. Either continue to do them yourself, focusing on doing them faster or outsource some of the tasks. What you are aiming for here is freeing up about an hour of your 4 hour workload to use for followup with leads, customers and team members.
By the time you hit the 9 month milestone you'll probably need to outsource 90%, in order to use most of your time for followup.
Here's an example of daily action steps you can do:
Youtube: (45 min) create 1 video, add 40-50 friends, comment on 5-10 videos.
Blog: (30 mins) Write a post about your video, embed your Youtube video into the post, convert that post into an article, implement as part of your Article strategy.
Articles: (1 hour) write 3-5 articles, submit to top article sites.
FaceBook: (30 min) add 30-40 friends, comment on 5-10 friends.
BackLinks: (1 hour) 30-40 to money site, 15-20 to Twitter, Myspace, Squidoo, Forum profiles, etc.
Forums: (30 mins) Find 3-4 forums that fit your niche market, reply to 2 threads on ea., start 2 new threads on ea.
Twitter: (30 min) add 100 friends, Tweet 7-10x throughout the day (Tweet about & link to, everything you did that day - your articles, blog post, Myspace blog, invite to connect on Facebook, etc.)
Pick and choose what best fits your personality.
If you don't like Facebook use Myspace. If you like LinkedIn, use that. My strong recommendation is that you have a cycle that looks something like this no matter which web 2.0 properties and media outlets you choose.

Hi Roxanne,
Welcome to BN. You have come to the right place at the right time where lots of leaders in this industry flock together to help home business owners solve their struggles online. Everyday I do my tasks to generate my leads online usually on my marketing technique, I use to generate at least 25-50 leads per day. These are:
1.) Sending solo ads at listjoe and viralurl (30 mins).
2.) Advertising Banners at Viralurl and ViralBar Ads (10 mins).
3.) Exposing my site at TrafficSwarm (30 mins).
4.) Connecting with Friends on facebook, leaving comments and joining groups. You can start a group if you want ( this is where more leads will begin to flow) (1 hour)
Then after that I continue with my marketing training which I do it consistently on a daily basis for 2 hours.
The best part is I am adding 2 more techniques in weeks to come that would help me genarate at least 70-100 leads per day

Hi Jim,
I live on planet productivity.
Seriously - I know... it may seem like a lot, but that is the type of thing we do every day.
It's all about being productive. If you're spending more time than that on any one activity you either need to outsource to someone who can do it quicker or get quicker at doing them yourself.
(sorry for the poor grammar)
Writing a 450 word article in 15 minutes should be a piece of cake if you are practiced.
Spending 30 minutes in a few forums starting a couple of threads and commenting should be a walk in the park too if you're focused.
Let me give you an example of what the work flow looks like.
I'll use forums for instance...
Personally I use Firefox as my default web browser, so this is what I do:
1. Open my top forum picks in a separate tab for each.
2. Login and cruise the forum for one of two things: hot topics or unanswered posts.
3. Scan for topics I know, I know something about.
4. Comment on the post.
5. Rinse & Repeat by quickly jumping from tab to tab (forum to forum)
6. I may just throw something out there as a start for a new tread based on what I've been thinking about or in conjunction with something I'm blogging about or using as a topic in another medium like a Hubpage or a Tweet. Doing that makes coming up with topics pretty simple and allows for cohesive backlinking.
That's it. 30, maybe 45 minutes tops and I'm done.
Now let me say this - I like to write and I can kick out a fairly high word count using all 4 of my active typing fingers when I'm motivated by a certain topic. However, there are days when I come to the forums and there simply isn't anything that really sparks any interest in me and I call it a day on that forum. Bam - that's it, no wasting time forcing the issue - I just move on.
It's all about being efficient.
And if writing isn't your strong point don't do it. Switch to vlogging or podcasting - or outsource.
~Richard
PS:
It took me about 7 minutes to write this reply to you.
It has a word count of 368 words in the content above the PS.
An extra 100 words and I'd have myself a nice little article on writing an article efficiently.
The original "action step" post:
Time: approx. 13 minutes
Word Count: 551

Re: What is Your Daily Marketing Plan
Hi Roxanne,
I know the frustration with "the old method" of doing network marketing. It just doesn't work any more.
I highly recommend that you read “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson. He teaches you that time will work for you if you consistently do the little things each day even when you don’t feel like it.
Some Suggested Daily Action Plans
o Meditate on your goals first thing in the morning & last thing at night
o Self-talk at least 4 times per day daily (you can send me a message for more info on this)
o Read 15 – 30 minutes in a motivational book
o Listen to motivational tapes
o Get on the twice daily skills training calls and all team calls
o Follow up with all prospects
o Visit the Social Sites if you join them
o Place ads
o **Blog
o ***Make videos
o Prepare your schedule for the following day
o Join and participate in 30 Day Mental Cleanse Program (send me a private message for more on this)
Personal development is very important - your business will grow in direct proportion to your personal growth.
Hope this helps you.

Re: What is Your Daily Marketing Plan
Richard, I am 100% on board with you on this. You used the word relentless....that is EXACTLY what we have to be.
It is not "I can't possibly do what Richard suggested"
it is the question of
"How Can I do what Richard Suggested?"
Maybe this week it will take you 6 hours to do all the things in that suggestion. And next week it will only take you 5:45 and the week after that 5:15...
Working the magic is like excercising, the more you do it the easier it becomes.
Writing for example. If you practice your writing skills, you will develop the skill to spit out words faster and faster.
Spending 1 hour on Facebook, 1 Hour on Twitter, 12 minutes blogging and 16 minutes on a article is not going to build a successful business.
Time wasted is money lost..
That is how business works, Time = Money.
Jeff Mitchell
p.s that was about 4 minutes and 328 words before the P.S.
Enjoy.

Richard your schedule is incredible!
Wondering though how much time you allocate for keyword research, competitive study and phone calling?
Also what hardware do you use to support that kind of speed? Hats off!

Sandeep - how are you brother - good to see you.
Well, my wife and I work from home in our businesses full time, so what I posted is only part of my actual work day. As for (hardware?) I rely on my tried and true 24" iMac with 4gb ram & wireless Apple keyboard, Logitec wireless MX mouse and the Apple airport, my trusty MacBook in Room 100 and of course last but not least my Altec Lansing THX 4.1 120watt surround sound system to blast my office with music while I work. I simply can't seem to concentrate without music - serious case of HDADD.
Anyway - I just want to point out one quick thing here...
What I posted isn't some set in stone thoroughbred training regimen.
Everyone has to do what they can do. My post is an example of what you could consider.
It is what I use and I was absolutely serious about being relentless ... but that's me.
And that doesn't mean in order to accomplish XYZ as defined by you that it will require what I do.
We're different people with different aspirations, goals, life views, etc., etc.
The point is TAKE CONSISTENT ACTION.
My schedule was merely an example.
