Creating Success In Ambit Energy

Postby Josh Thomas on Thu Mar 12, 2009 10:38 pm

Hey everyone.

Hoping to breathe some life back into this forum because it hasn't
seen a lot of activity lately. I'd like to open up the discussion for
folks who are truly looking to make a difference in their business
with Ambit.

Some of the things that I do to generate leads and income include
PPC, various Lead Systems and a great deal of my own personal
trial and error. If you are in Ambit, or thinking about it, I think it
would be helpful for the community if you could share your experiences,
fears, concerns, successes, failures and everything in between.

When I joined Ambit, I decided to devote the first couple of months to
learning how to be an effective marketer and provide value to others.
This is something that my upline still doesn't quite get, but they will soon
enough when my big campaign gets launched. So far, it has paid off in
SPADES.

Let's share and connect. And by the way, if you're in Texas, I have started
a Texas Networkers Group here on BN. Stop on by and join if you're in the
Lone Star State.

Looking forward to reading your posts and connecting!

Kinda lonely in here, eh?

I saw that this post got some views, but no comments.
Get your message out there folks. Let's heat it up in here.

If you read this post, leave a comment and let's get things
going in the Ambit Forum again. All it takes is a few comments
and we are back in business.

Besides, you wouldn't want to watch me have conversations and
debates with myself.....or would you?!?! :? I'm pretty smart but I believe
ultimately, I would beat myself to a pulp! I outwit me. HAHAHAHA.

Seriously, leave a comment.

Also, if you are in Texas, drop by and join my Texas Networker Group
here on BN.

Hey Josh,
Long time no see. How has Ambit been going?

Well, it's been alright. Spending too much time
over on that Better Networker Forum. Gosh, what
a great place.

I hear ya, man. Lots of smart people on there. So,
what are some of the things you do to build your business?

Lately, Josh, I have been spending a lot of time with PPC.
In fact, I recently generated 4 leads within about an hour!

Man, that's AWESOME! How'd ya do it?

Got Jim Yaghi's PPC Domination, and studied my butt off,
that's how! Looking forward to unleashing this beast on Ambit
now that I know it works. Look out, Steve Thompson. I'm gonna
be the next Ambit millionaire! HAHAHAHA.....

Hey Alex,
Thanks for the reply. Good to hear about your father being in Ambit. :D
Sorry to hear about his health problems.

I'm pretty motivated to get things booming here in Texas, and of
to a pretty good start. But apparently, I'm the only Ambit dude here
on Better Networker.

I'll keep that in mind about Illinois, although I plan on concentrating
most of my efforts here in Texas.

I don't do yellow. Just don't do it.

I actually know Steve. He is an Austinite like myself and
comes to the meetings. Exceptionally nice guy. I think
yellow, tweed, etc. is just how he rolls.

I have a lot to learn from him.

Okay, I have seen a lot of talking up of the great opportunity that Ambit provides to its consultants as well as customers amongst the moderator and a few others, but no real mention of what it actually takes to succeed. I have been an Ambit consultant for going on three months now, and while I'm doing somewhat okay I guess (6 customers among warm market and have my 2 personal consultants) I have really hit a wall here. I know Ambit really discourages any other marketing besides to the warm market, but there is such a wealth of opportunity out there beyond the warm market that needs to be addressed, and that many following the "old school" method that Ambit really preaches will never bee able to find.
TO TRULY BE SUCCESSFUL IN AMBIT, YOU NEED TO HAVE SEVERAL PERSONAL CONSULTANTS. It's as simple as that. You need to leverage every leg that you can create. There are thousands upon thousands of people out there looking for that great opportunity that will set them financially free, and we know that Ambit can provide that for them. I would suggest getting a little help. Certainly post in forums such as this, but also take a look at MLSP as well as Mike Dillard's Magnetic sponsoring, and stop chasing your warm market, and losing friends and having family shy away from you. Just check these things out, there's no risk, they offer tons of free training, and it will help you immensely. I have provided the links here if it will help:

Creating success in Ambit Energy is really no different than creating success in any other business: Determination, consistency and follow through.

Unlike so many get-rich quick programs out there, Ambit truly focuses on long-term, residual income.

Building your Ambit business generally will start out quickly as almost everyone who joins can get the required number of customers over the course of a few weeks to re-coup their initial investment.

From that point forward is where most consultants hit a road-block. Their customer list diminishes and the people they thought would be likely consultants want nothing to do with their 'new business'.

Ambit, like other network marketing programs, is a numbers game. You need to keep inviting people to look at your opportunity. Of course, you need to follow up also!

My biggest advantage with Ambit is that I created a buzz online right when I started. All I did was create a simple blog (http://www.JoinAmbitEnergyToday.com). My blog is loaded with valuable information and great SEO content.

I keep posting on my blog and adding SEO rich content every day. The more blogs I create like this, the better my SEO rankings become.

What I've offered my own consultants is to build a blog for them (loaded with their links, content, etc.) and basically rent the site to them!

For each and every blog I create, I increase the SEO rankings for my team of consultants.

I really don't care if I get the 'direct' sale. If one of my consultants gets the sale, great, it all helps me anyway.

Basically I circumvented the number one problem almost every Ambit consultant faces, creating duplication.

By creating blogs for my consultants and controlling them myself, I can create the cross-links, SEO content, traffic drawing blogs, etc. and require nothing more from my consultants than paying me a small fee each month to maintain their blog.

Every link in their blog is THEIRS. No smoke and mirrors. They can simply go to the URL and check themselves. They can go their 'rented' site and watch it grow. Always with THEIR Ambit Energy links (and content) in it!

I update their blogs for them and promote their URL on practically a daily basis.

Most of my consultants use this 'rented' blog as 'background' marketing.

They do nothing and let me take care of the minutia necessary to create AND UPDATE a successful blog.

The modest fee I request monthly basically covers my cost of the monthly hosting for the URL and a little extra for my own time necessary to update the blog.

Each of my team members pays monthly with no long-term contracts. Whenever they want out, they simlpy contact me and I cancel their subscription. Please note however, if they do cancel, they forfeit the site to the next person in line waiting for it.

In essence, they will be forfeiting a traffic-pulling site that will only gain strength over time.

Ambit Energy is not a sprint, it's definitely a marathon. For those who choose to keep 'renting' their site, their traffic will only increase over time.

I've taken the automation out of Network Marketing and sprinkled in some personal one-on-one. Ultimately, as everyone knows with Ambit, if my consultants are successful, so am I.

What I didn't see coming was the amount of outside requests I've been getting from consultants from other teams.

So this has basically become a business on its own for me! I'm not going to retire doing this but it is fun and it helps a huge niche of marketers who simply are unable or not willing to do this themselves.

Take a look at my own personal Ambit Blog (http://www.JoinAmbitEnergyToday.com) to see what Im talking about.

If you or your consultants might be interested in having me create a blog for you, simply contact me and I can set you up.
