Attention all GURUs..I desperately need help here!!!

Postby sarip ahmad on Wed Jan 13, 2010 3:37 am

I started having serious interest in this online business for almost 3 years. Yet, throughout the years, the method I've been using year in year out still has not proven effective for me in terms of generating leads. Yes, I do get people interested to find out more about my business, yet, not many have been translated into "real" sale. Please I sincerely need a helping hand on these matters:-

1. What is the best way to generate traffic and leads to my website and ensure that they are real quality prospects that can give revenue to my business. Is Google Adwords (ppc) the best method to do this or through articles?

2. It is much easier to get customers when doing normal businesses such as selling insurance, mutual funds, etc. as most of the time we do the business presentations one to one. However, doing global online business is a totally separate thing that requires us to convince all kind of people from all corners of the world and mind you, we are competing with thousands or maybe hundred of thousands other online marketers. My question is, how to acquire the market and to be completely unique and distinctive in order to succeed in this line? Is it true that having a really superb and impressive website does determine the success? If it is, I am seeking the help of professional web builders out there to achieve this and I am more than willing to allocate my expenses on these services. My website is http://www.blogccpro.com (totally done by me who do not have any professional qualification on website building) and pls feel free to drop me an email at asset.planners@gmail.com.

3. Is the website page-ranking really plays an important role and hence, how to achieve the highest rank?

I hope all GURUs are willing to reply to my queries eventhough you might feel that these are very small and insignificant matters because for budding internet entrepreneurs like me, this is the ultimate starting point and the learning process will never stop. I guess I am never too shy too ask.

Hi Sarip,

I'm no guru but I can offer some free commentary.....and I'm sure you've heard these along your way......

1. Traffic is the magic that gets you exposed on the Internet. Unless you have a lot of capital to invest (and lose) on PPC, free organic SEO traffic is needed. Learn how to do this. There are a lot of gurus anxious to take your money and to tell you they can show you how.

2. A website's design is a small part of acquiring an online market. Proper silo structuring for SEO is important too. Again...there are a lot of web designers and gurus anxious to take.... But people do not want to be sold to. A website with nothing but ads is a website with nothing but ads. People do not join a business. People join people.....so you must stand out in the crowd, build trust, offer value and leadership, and then people will follow and join you.

3. Link building is the biggest factor in getting page rank. There is a correct way to do this and it takes a lot of time. There are incorrect ways to do this and it cost you money and is risky with Google.

I hope I've helped you some with these comments.

One should never be too shy to ask.
One should never be too shy to answer.

This is all you truly need to grow and get leads:

1. Marketing (that drives traffic)
2. A Lead Capture Page that captures traffic into leads (Which redirects
to a sales letter that sells them on whatever it is you want.)
3. An autoresponder account that drips on them over a period of time.

Really you cannot deny the numbers. Get a certain number of traffic
and you will get leads. Call the leads to increase them wanting to
buy from you.

Some good free sources are:
Facebook
Video
Myspace
List Builders (if done right.)

Also if you studied copywriting a bit, I would heavily suggest
doing a lot of ezine advertising. Because it is not complicated
and you get to piggy back off other marketer's lists.

If you're doing MLM, I would highly suggest also using a generic
self-funded proposal system. Not just any system though.

Make sure the system promotes you throughout the whole
thing! That way you're the attractive solutions provider.

Other than that, all I can say is take some money aside
and EXPERIMENT the crap out of it till it is gone and you
find something that is working well for you.

Sarip,

While I am no expert, I think i can offer some advice on your website.

First, lose the Adsense ads. That is a major turnoff and not worth the few pennies you may receive from it.

Second, your opt in from doesn't offer anything. Why would anyone want to give you their information? As Gregory mentioned, get yourself a funded proposal of some sort or just give something away for free.

The goal with your blog should be to sell yourself. This blog says nothing about your personality. You need to try and establish a connection with those that visit. Only then will they choose to follow you.

Good luck,
Cheryl

Hi Sarip. You may consider my point outside of your request, but I cannot recommend enough that you join Mentoring for Free. This course has so much insight into network marketing that everyone who participates in it learns something. Even my mentor reviews the ebook that he utilizes so refresh his memory. I also highly encourage you to read The Ultimate Guide to Network Marketing by Joe Rubino. This tome consolidates knowledge and strategies of premier network marketers like Tom "Big Al" Schreiter and many others. Both of these resources will complement your search. Let me know if I can help you in any other way. Take care and have fun.

Hi Sarip

Though we know, with skill PPC is a great way but even if you haven't yet got the just of it, I'll say the others are also powerful too.

It's all down to you end of the day, to master the skill of copywriting and I'd advise to focus on one method, get good at it, then get out of the way to automate.

If you do many methods or even 5, what will happen is you'll not master any. Then you'll realise as most of us have - that it's best to master one and get credible at that because..

1. You have to first get good at identifying the need of your target prospect, customers.

2. You need then the skill to write in a way that grabs them. Having the solutions to their problem is great but it needs copywriting skill too, to reveal it in a way that it gets inside them, and to act.

3. You'll need to also test and see what is working with this method.'

4. Then when you know what works best for this ONE method, you can tweak it even more for greater result.

5. When that is done - then you know you can move to another method because this ONE method you focused on is getting you the result you desire. So you get out of the way and automate it.

That Sarip is just ONE...Method.

God help those who prat around doing loads and they haven't mastering one method. I say to you know, it is deadly when you master the method.

So find one method that you can use right now and master it first. Do the steps I mentioned above and of course, making sure you write to the target needs.

Regarding Your Website
First, get rid of that big banner that shows about wordpress themes kind of thing. It's distracting. That's your most powerful place for telling your audience where they are at.

Second, get rid of the adsence. If that's your blog, it needs to show knowledge, value. You can create an adsence page somewhere else but keep that site for giving value and building your list mate.

Seperate yourself from the herd.

Third, move your optin form up. Above the fold and add give them a REASON why they to optin. If they getting free info anyway from your blog, why they need to optin. So give something that they need to solve right now.

You know your audience needs more than I do.

Fourth, move your recent articles also up and put those ads below it. That's your knowledge, credibility. Let people move about and read more.

Five....interview some of the people you are helping. Branding is not what you say. It is what other people say about you when you...leave the room. Got any videos or get interviewing people who are in your team and bang it up.

Six - Yes, having a professional look will help you but I am more concerned about the seo on your site (talk to Richard bravo, he's completed a course on SEO Networker and is a good man and an honest one too).

Get the foundation of the site done first, and sort out the look after.

You've done a great job mate, brillaint start and yes, together, we move forward.

The others I have given are just suggestions but if the site works great for you, then you'll know best as you'll have data to see the results etc.

Just seen some of the changes you're making. Brillaint mate.

It has made a whole lot of difference when adsense are not on the articles. Looks great. Plus you've moved the Optin Form above the fold, and "Previous Posts" up as well - for easy navigation.

Great job Sarip!

This really isn't an uncommon question in MLM, and unfortunately the answer isn't spectacular. Still, its the results that count, right?

Success within MLM has nothing to do with the product and EVERYTHING to do with you. What's YOUR USP, what is it that makes you so special that people should work with you? What do YOU have to offer them?

You MUST figure out what makes you UNIQUE, what special value it is that you have to offer. Once you have that figured out, you can work on yourself as a brand. Ultimately, it doesn't matter what MLM you're working with, so long as what makes you unique also helps folks to make money.

Until you figure this out, none of the other stuff matters. Not your site, not the traffic, nada. Your USP is what will drive leads into conversions. The KEY to MLM is becoming a celebrity, and then using that credibility to drive traffic, convert sales, and help others to make lots of money too.

Isn't that the dream - having other people make money for you while you vacation in Cabo?
