The Top 25 Network Marketing Companies

Who are the Top 25 Network Marketing Companies? Well, it really depends on how you define the "Top 25..." As you might imagine, the truth can be a bit subjective. Let me explain...

The best-selling car in the World is the Toyota Corolla. Apparently it's a great car, and yet at the same time probably not the car of your dreams. Which begs the question, "Does an MLM company deserve a higher ranking simply because more people are involved?" It's a fair question. Here's what we know for sure: Popularity is definitely one of the best ways to determine what's going on in the marketplace. It plays a part in the movies we see, the music we download, and sometimes even where we invest our money.

So is the "Top 25..." just an online popularity contest? Not exactly. To make a fair assessment we gave consideration to things that really don't matter; for instance, 24 of the 25 companies are members of the DSA, and things that really do matter, like Time In Business!

In short, we wanted you to know the exact criteria we used in order to select, and then to rank, "The Top 25..." You may agree with our findings, or you may not; we welcome your thoughts and opinions either way. Here's the Nexera Five-Factor Formula we used to make our selections:

1) The company must be a self-described Network Marketing, Multi Level, or MLM company.
2) The company must be in business for at least 10 years as of January 1, 2009.*
3) The company must have a Google Page Rank - GPR. A scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best.
4) The company must have an Alexa Rank - AR. Here the smaller the number the better.
5) The company must show up in Google Trends - GT. All Regions. Last 12 months.**

The five factors above are taken into account at the end of each quarter and then a ranking decision is made. As of December 31, 2009, the Top 25 Network Marketing Companies are:

Nor does the listing take into account the companies where the majority of distributors work offline so that begs the next question - is there any value in a top 25 list??

Agreed, I worked for a Fortune 500 company at one time. However, it was a drive thru window at Taco Bell. Working for a top company doesn't mean you'll get top dollars. All I got was 4.25 an hour and the pleasure of coming come smelling like bean burritos....

Although I feel when using certain parameters to compile lists the end results are what they are. One could use the results as a tool but in my opinion very little else.
Hey, I don't always agree with VH1's top lists of anything they do but that doesn't mean that I don't enjoy the results. Relevant ? Maybe not. But I would like to ask the group where does one go to find MLM statistics in general, and for that matter is there a comprehensive site for all MLM companies. For example, where does the 97% failure rate come from ???

I must say I have met Michael Clouse and have attended one of his seminars. He is an excellent speaker and industry expert. He has alot of information and is very uplifting, you are on your feet at the end of his seminars. If you can get any of this books such as Learning The Business and The Fifth Principle they are quick reads and very informative.

Top 25 based on that criteria is a tool.

Many admirable companies that will be contenders in the near future and plenty of companies that will fall from grace. It is imperative to perform due diligence in any decision.

Most newbies have no idea how many MLM companies exist nor how to be in business for themselves. Not all people involved in the Top 25 know how to operate online and are engaging in "old school" activity and companies can hire SEO experts to gain the anticipated result.
