Morning BetterNetworker friends,
With all of the challenges we are faced with in our business; through our competition, media, recession, you name it, I thought what better thing to talk about is challenges.
What challenges are you faced with in your MLM business?
Today I wrote a post about challenges, you can check it out here.
So, who's up for the challenge?

.
procrastination.
I don't know why I put some things off to the last minute.
Sometimes it's ADD, sometimes it's just - well, I don't know.
I work furiously under pressure and have had some of my best ideas and created some of my best work at the thin red line of a looming deadline.
But man is it irritating when you really want to get something done and it just doesn't seem to come together till the final throws of those last nail biting minutes.
Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment
...
There, now ya'll know a bit of my darkside.

That one is the *WORST* Richard. Thanks for sharing that...
I've been a victim of that one many, many, many times.
In fact, I experienced very similar feelings and results too. While under pressure, everything miraculously comes together despite the amount of frustration experienced during that time.
Ahhhh!
Sometimes I just need to get 'er done, but that's not always the case. Glad to hear someone else experiences the same thing.

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
Tell me about it guys. I'm sooo guilty of procastination. I have no idea why. I'm so good at telling others what to do and how to avoid it but am guilty of it myself
Also another one (although I'm getting better
)is learning to say no and not feeling guilty about it!

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
I think we've all fallen to procrastination at some point, Lilach.
Learning to saying no is a hard one too. I can finally say I'm no longer afraid to say no.
It took me quite a while to get rid of that one, but I finally put that one to rest.
What did you do to get better at this???

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
Hi Jerome
Yes, pleased I'm not the only one to fall guilty of the procastination!
You know, learning to say no I think is coming with age! I do still find it terribly hard. But when I sold my business last year I promised myself I wouldn't get in that position again. (i.e. mega busy and not spending enough time with my family).
I find it guilty enough being a mum and spending time away from my daughter (which apart from when she's at school is very rare!). To this day I've never spent more than one night away from my daughter/husband and that has been only about 6 times in nearly 6 years! It's my 10th wedding anniversary in a couple of months and we've promised we will go away for a couple of days and leave her with my parents, no doubt I'll probably feel terribly guilty (although she will probably have fun!)
I think as I'm getting older I'm starting to appreciate life a bit more. What I am now getting into a habit of though is saying no... but then apologising for it!
Only today I received an email from a guy starting out in business asking me for help etc. He clearly didn't want to pay for my time and wanted a "freebie". Whilst I would love to help everyone I simply don't have the time and I would never make any money if I did it all for free.
But I love a challenge and overcoming them is great

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
My biggest challenge is still calling prospects for the first time.
So I try to meet them as fast as possible.
After that phone calls are no problem.
Magic!
All the best for you

Hey Jerome
It used to be the dreaded P word (procrastination).
Now its not working as quick as all the ideas I have, which can be very annoying.

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
Volker,
I was once SCARED to death of calling prospects, the first time, second time, third time. It didn't matter for me.
It took me one week working as a telemarketer (making cold call after cold call) and walking door to door to sell newspapers that got me over that fear. That was a BIG challenge.
Thanks for sharing that Volker.

Re: What's your BIGGEST challenge
That can be very annoying and I feel your pain on that one.
I have my journal by my side at all times. Even during the night if I wake up with a good idea, I immediately write it down.
I know I still miss a share of the ideas.
Implementing all of them (or at least the good ones), now that's a problem I still have. I've been reading The 4 Hour Work Week and I'm beginning to wonder if my madness to doing as much as possible is even necessary.
Have you read that book???
Oh well, that's my 2 cents. Thanks for sharing Dwayne.
