Hi,

Whatever I'm trying I always get this error message: "You have specified an invalid media URL or embed code"
The code I'm pasting works fine elsewhere (including on a WP blog).

What embed code should I paste?

P.S. I'm using video from Easy Video Producer with the following embed code:

My suggestion though and it's only a hunch - try uploading to other site, like these, as it mentions these are the ones when you upload a video on BN:

Blip.tv, Google, Live Video, MetaCafe, MySpace, Revver, Veoh, Viddler, Vimeo, YouTube, Custom URL.

It might work.

I tried it on my blog (wordpress) and it works fine: http://www.work-from-your-home-business.com/video-test-of-gtpump.html as do other videos hosted on GVO/easy-video-producer.

I'll try to submit a ticket and see what happens.

Hi Ely - I embed lots of my own videos here and on other sites. I upload to YouTube, Viddler and other sites and it's always a nice, clean operation. I would recommend that you upload to one of these two sites and take it from there. Unless of course you have your reasons for not using YT or Viddler.....

Yes, I have my reasons for wanting to use easy video producer as my video streaming solution
I'm not sure if you are aware, but this is part of the GVO package and I wanted to promote it, as a by product...

Hey Ely,

The problem you are having is probably due to the fact that the forums here use bb code instead of html. The tags used are a little different and I still mess them up all of the time.

However there is a a description of how to use the tags on this site right under the smilies.

Just click where it says "bbcode is on" and you should get an faq page on how to use them properly for this site to embed your videos.

Usually you would just receive a response to your ticket by email, but I saw this post in the forums and thought I'd make a quick post. There was a slight issue in the code when attempting to post video content from a custom source, and I took care of the problem. Those who have been posting video using YouTube, Vimeo, etc. would not have seen an issue.

When attempting to post video from a custom source, it's not possible to use the embed tag. The reason why is there is no method for us to verify the validity of the source. Embed tags can be used to spread viruses and malicious code, and only if it comes from a trusted source such as YouTube, we can't be sure that it is clean.

Therefore what you need to do to make this work is use the URL of the embedded video, not the embed tagged code. If you look at your full embed code, you'll see something that looks like the following: http://www.gogvo.com/evp/player/GVOplay ... 7869cd6290 This URL represents the actual video. Copy and paste this into the area where you embed a video, and it should work.
