Biggest mistake in network marketing

Biggest mistakes in network marketing

One of the biggest mistakes that people make in network marketing. Is getting people to join your company right from the top. I too made this mistake for many years.

I struggled for many years until I learned the secret of front end and back end products. If your business make sense to your prospects. And if they do not join it is not that they do not have the money it is they do not trust you.

What happen we offer our main network marketing company it’s a $250 opportunity. They do not trust and are not going to give you $250. So they say stuff like I don’t have the money.

I was told to offer a cheap front end product. I first start off selling them a $10 product. They say well I don’t trust you enough to spend $250 but I can spent $10.

If a person spends $10 they will also spend $250 once the relationship is built.

Another thing that happens is once we help them make $10 they have a stronger belief because they see it works.

Great post Chris, as I expand my awareness in the industry, I'm finding there must be a place for anyone, those at the $10 level and those at the $1k or more. Building trust is a given, and the relationship always comes first... Emotion is left next to the welcome mat, and agenda's are kept in the woodshed.

So true!

Many people make the mistake of trying to ram there business opportunity down people throats at all costs.
This will kill your business if you take this approach.
You must first build a relationship and show that you are just another person who has been where they are and try and help them to piece this puzzle of online marketing together.

Relationships are the biggest piece to success online and people miss that because when you first start out you are focused on promoting your company or products and don't understand the importance of building relationships and when you do this you are just another salesman/distributor and there is NO shortage of them.

Hi Chris
Good information for newbies and those who are new to adapting to technology. Providing value front end, back end and communicating ongoing are strong components of team building. Plenty of people buy products at any price point and never open them. You are calling out to people who will actually work. We become their mentor and we should have our own mentors and mastermind groups to keep us fresh and growing.

Good info, Chris. This is definitely a concept that a lot of people never apply in their business and it costs them a lot of money. Leading with an inexpensive info product funds your advertising and sorts out the tire kickers...

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the post. True, eh? The main game is to build relationships that will last a lifetime and yet at times, we jeopardize that for a supposed quick result for our main opportunity.

Yes relationships are very important. My upline said to me the other day "Recruit fun people, you'll be going on vacation with them one day".

I also believe that your attitude has a lot to do with how people react to you. We have the attitude that we don't want people to join just for the sake of joining. If they don't see the wonderful opportunity that we are offering them then we don't want them in our business because people who don't "get it" usually don't stay anyway. And we only want people who are going to stay.

This attitude is very non-threatening to a prospect and they don't feel under any pressure.
