New Magnetic Sponsoring Squeeze Page Spotted

Postby David Veras on Thu Apr 29, 2010 7:57 am

For the first time since I've started using Magnetic Sponsoring, I spotted a different squeeze page then usual. I don't know if its permanent, the MS team might just doing routine conversion rate testing.

This new layout has show better results in my testing plus the fact that it doesn't ask for a phone number anymore could boost conversion rates as well. I still wouldn't recommend using PPC to promote it though.

Better or worse? Hmm only time will tell.

Better? Knowing the folks at magnetic, I'm sure it has been split tested, or is currently being split tested.

In the end, what matters most is not how your "looks" but how it converts. That should be the determining factor of which landing page you go with after a split test.

Kudos to the folks at Magnetic for showing the way and working to constantly improve conversions.

As an affiliate that is greatly appreciated!

Sure, conversions are the ultimate testing measurement.

Having a "better looking" page is one way to up the conversions. Looks and design matter.

Measurement is what you should be basing all of your testing on, not what you "think" will help.

Looks and design matter, yes, but aren't the most important thing in conversions by far.

What matters much more is the offer and headline which creates the desire in the prospect. (Actually even more important than that are the target market and lead source)

Here are a couple examples of some more well known marketers and their offers:

John Alanis: http://womenapproachyou.com/

Dan Kennedy: http://www.freegiftfrom.com/dankennedy/

Perry Marshall: http://www.perrymarshall.com/google/

Eben Pagan (David De'Angelo) http://www.doubleyourdating.com/channels/

I wouldn't say that any of those have great design or format, but have fantastic offers, great appealing headlines that target their markets secret desires and needs.

These are doorways to multi-million dollar businesses.....

There are some great examples even from some of the instructors from here at better networker.

In the end though, don't rely on someone else and their idea of what will work, test it yourself and find out for yourself.

Hey Kurt,

I said conversions are the ultimate testing measurement

I never said I base measurements on my opinions

I never said looks and design were the most important

Yes, offers and headlines are also very important. Theres a lot of important components that go into marketing.

Dan Kennedy could make sales based on credibility/brand alone! I bet he'd make sales with just a buy button! And not any "real offer". Same with Mike Dillard, he is credible and could probably do the same thing!

Some of the best offers and copy online that you can find, is from Agora. Last I heard they were doing 200-300m/yr.

I'm glad you edited your post to include Eben :D

Why did you post Ebens old website? This one: http://www.doubleyourdating.com/channels/

His website goes here: http://www.doubleyourdating.com/ (the one with better look & design!)

hmm... maybe he's onto something!!! lol
